Caffeine withdrawal and meditation
I had a thought... I am currently going through some intense struggles while weaning down on caffeine. Would meditation help this at all? In some sort of fashion? Maybe someone has experienced this and has some knowledge to it? I thank you kindly for reading this post.

You need to know why you came to Caffeine at the first place, what is the reward you got from Caffeine? a boost? a quick relief? you like the taste? Only when you figured out that, meditation wouldn't be helpful unless it give you similar reward compare to drinking caffeeine.
I recommend Power of Habits book on Amazon. Try it. |
Thank you for the response! I’ll check that out. I turned to it for the boost and flavor.

Yes, meditation can help you reduce or remove habits but it's not an instant miracle cure, it can take a while before you notice changes in wants and behaviours.
Meanwhile you could drink tea at the times you would normally drink coffee to adjust your mind.. |
It can help as meditation helped me to stop smoking and I’d say it’s a similar addiction.
A few things I did have to do and these may seem extreme. 1 - Took a few days off work 2 - Came off social media 3 - Basically ignored the world for two days I literally spent two days, relaxing, meditating and looking after myself. It worked for me, so I would suggest it would work for others also Good luck and I wish you well |
I thought it was much sooner but they say on average it takes 18 to 19 hours
for withdrawal symptoms ~ such as a headache. The symptoms are strongest during the first two days of withdrawal and decline after fix or six days. Last year it hit me by surprise after forgetting to bring my tea with me when I went away for a few days. I'm trying low caffeine alternatives now. |
Your responses are very appreciated! I appreciate everyone of you taking the time to respond to my question to give me guidance and advice.

Meditation will help to relax your mind and potentially heal damaged or unused neurons. In a sense, meditation is the natural way of achieving focus with your mind, while caffeine is a stimulant which has side effects.
