Reminiscing The Past

I had a previous history from the mid 80's to mid 90's for defacing public transport and private property. In all my years of doing street art, I was very fortunate to have never been caught. However, I did have some very close encounters dicing with death, workers and authority.

Even though it's commonly frowned upon by society, some think of it as art, the majority think of it as a colorful mess. In my honest opinion, there is no better term for calling it straight out vandalism.

Street art for me did have some promising highlights with legally commissioned work during my late 20's. As security became more developed and well advanced, it was time to move into a different sphere.

I became a digital concept artist at the turn of the millennium creating a few album covers for musicians, which then opened doors to doing projects for developers within the entertainment industry. I'm always embarking on a strategic angle with my ability. I will have the very rare occasional relapse and revisit the early days which has never really left me.

Anyway, should this speak for itself!

I don't do street art but i've photographed many.

I like these photographs. New York around the 70's and 80's. Childhood years.

Th Bronx

None of these were taken by me. But i like these photos. They display the raw reality of the conditions of New York in the past.

Th@nks OB,

N.Y.C. is where street art was originally born, some of your images remind me of scenes from the 'Style Wars' documentary.

However, where I come from, indigenous tribes used natural elements from the ground which were sometimes spray painted using their mouth for a stenciling effect in cave paintings thousands of years ago.

Some indigenous artists today would no doubt be using Krylon.
