Has anyone noticed the nature of the Wikipedia article on this?
 

I have noticed that the Wikipedia page on this is somewhat not like a proper Wikipedia page. I have read a little about this and it seems somewhat imaginative but I do not know if it should really be referred to as pseudoscientific.

My question is maybe - is it in some way suggesting that it is using modern scientific methodology or is it purely idealistic? The reason I ask is because I felt changing the word "pseudoscientific" with something like "ideological" or "spiritual". I get the impression that it would just get rolled back almost immediately.

It seems like someone is on a missionary to discredit it. Why do so many people find this so appealing? Why do some people hate it? Is it like astrology?

There has been a huge campaign on Wikipedia by a small but fanatical group of materialists to subtly discredit pretty much anything smacking of the paranormal.

Wikipedia has a number of problem areas where its coverage is highly inaccurate and biased.

I agree with sarek. Wikipedia represents more in the way of mis-information when it comes to subjects related to spiritual awareness.

My attempt to add scientific research on one particular subject was rejected as a personal interest. The moderators at Wikipedia seem to fear authentic and factual information.

Wikipedia is highly inaccurate in so many different areas, not just spiritual or psychic ones but in anything a little bit conserversial that they go completely biased, that I've stopped using it.

People like insurance companies actually hire people to man certain pages and make sure certain things don't end up in some of the medical pages even though based on good studies, they are trying to discredit certain things.

The natural medicine field there is also beat up by all this...
