Missing you daddy
 

Dear Dad,

As I prepared the house for Christmas yesterday, I missed you so much the pain of not having you with me and the boys is so unbearable. I wish you were here to see how much they have grown, you would be so proud of them. They would have both loved to be tinkering with you in the garage.

Thank you for visiting me in my dreams last night. I had you close again for a few hours in my sleep and you felt so real. I know you'll be watching down on us as the boys open their presents on Christmas and I will be thinking of you.

I love you daddy. Please visit me again real soon.

Thank you so much for replying! You know I give my children beautiful warm Christmas' full of love and generosity, but very small on family and I suppose I reflect to my own Christmas' where I had nothing materially but all the love and warmth of family. I suppose there is always a trade off, i've overcompensated with my children materially because I dont' have the family now to provide (well no where near the scale of which I grew up).

It is wonderful that you were able to know such love and from many family members in your earlier years.... You are such a wonderful mom now as it is clear that you do value love over possessions.. Yet, material comforts and things we enjoy are part of the abundance of the universe.. So, it is also very nice that your children have this security and some of the nicer things in life to partake of.. Sounds like the best of both worlds ... Even tho' the number of family members may have dwindled, the love you have for them cannot be measured and it is surely known in their hearts. Your dad must be so very proud of you...:hug:
