R.I.P. Tom Petty
I almost don't know what to say...I've been listening to and singing his songs in my car for such a long time. News of his troubles came at the same time the Vegas shootings did - I thought he'd been shot. I had to wonder if news of the shootings helped to bring on his heart attack. I wouldn't doubt it. Now, I know he had a heart attack in his Malibu home, and was on life support until yesterday. (His family chose to honor his do-not-resuscitate order.)
I saw an article about how his daughter (and fam) posted about his death on Twitter, and all the other sites. She's almost the spittin' image of her dad. My thoughts and prayers and condolences go out to her and everyone else close to him.
