Apocalypse of Peter
Does this sacred text not show that Hell exists and that those who are not saved will suffer terribly? :(

most "sacred" texts say there will be dire afterlife consequences for the lack of belief in their specific dogma so disbelief in any one of them will get you hellishly punished or in deep karmic doo doo.
**shrug** classic damned if you do and damned if you don't Catch 22. lol |
how can a text show that hell exists?

I dont know, maybe because the text was by Saint Peter??
I ordered the book We Don't Die by Catholic medium George Anderson, hopefully it will get me out of this horrible religious mess I am in. |

a book isn't gonna get you out of your "religious mess". you're going to have to undo your religious conditioning and that's usually very hard work as it requires the developement of self awareness and self honesty. and if you manage to get yourself free you have to deal with the gaping hole that your religious concepts once filled. |

seems to me that we all go through stages in our lives that correlate with the books of the bible or other texts. if this text does not ring true with you at all, pay no mind to it, especially if it causes you any kind of negative emotion that will not turn into something better for you. |

The Christians did not include the text because it did not match up to their doctrine. It actually sounds more like the Qur'an when it talks about people being in error for hanging all their sins on a dead man. Is that the concept in the verse below? "And they praise the men of the propagation of falsehood, those who will come after you. And they will cleave to the name of a dead man, thinking that they will become pure. But they will become greatly defiled and they will fall into a name of error, and into the hand of an evil, cunning man and a manifold dogma, and they will be ruled without law." mj |
