How to heal or move on from trauma and old habits?
I’m honestly having a hard time on trying to heal myself. Like i have noticed a few old habits which i want to release so i can be mire connected to my higher self. These beliefs once used to help me or i even considered them to be my ‘fix’ for the problems i was facing. I have also realised that my childhood trauma is the reason why i have attracted such relationships and situations in my life. The problem is now i’m not sure how to heal this. I’m not sure how i’m supposed to let go of this. I feel some sort of blockage in my body right now and it feels very uncomfortable.

Sorry to read you're having a hard time. What is it that you're struggling with, exactly?
There are many healing practices you can do, but for me personally - initially anyway - is to simply acknowledge they are there (which you've done), not ignore them, and to be present with them by sitting in silence and feeling them. Literally focus your attention on where the feeling is and ask yourself what is it you're feeling. If it's anxiety, for instance, then you can say ''I feel anxiety in my stomach'' and leave it there - don't judge it, don't judge yourself - just sit and feel it. Digging to the core of your feelings is also something you can do as you often find the reason(s) why you're feeling this way, but it seems you already know them. The first step is being aware you have blockages, so this is good. Sit with them, but be very gentle on yourself. They will be released when they're ready. |
