"Voices" in your head in a teenager
 

Hi everyone,
While at the store yesterday with my 16 year old daughter, we were walking around and all of a sudden she says to me "do you ever hear people talking in your head but it's like in another language?" I was completely floored because I haven't been talking about any of the things I've been looking up like angels, guides etc....I just blurted out to her that "oh that's angels or guides". She was like "ya ok whatever". I had a similar experience when I was younger and it scared me, I thought I was insane.
Any ideas on what this could be?

Hey I talk through my mind to my guides, which include angels and spirit guides, through my head, but I've never heard a guide talk to me in a different language but it is quite possible as different languages exist on the physical plane so they can certainly exist on higher planes.

I thought I was going insane too. This has happened to me too. It was frightening. The guides and angels have their own language. Perhaps they just think you already understand them. I know from experience I know some people who learned this other language and were able to talk to each other in these angelic and guide languages. It's most interesting.

None of you are going insane. Its a bit normal from what I understand it and from what I've dealt with.

You gave your daughter the best answer. If she wants to understand more she will investigate it.

My thoughts on why the 'different language' are to get her attention. Not an easy thing to do sometimes.

It was just so random that I was like stunned. I know that whoever she is with, friends or family she is constantly saying the exact same thing as someone at the same time too. It doesn't even have to be people "she is around" all the time. She also texts the same exact thing to me that I text her a few times a day.

It was just so out of the blue she said it. She didn't seem scared or weirded out. Just asked nonchalantly. I'm going to have to talk to her more about it.

That's the first thing that popped in my head to say. I'm going to talk with her and see what else she has to say about it. Like how often and how long it's been going on. Also, no matter who she is around, she says the same exact thing at the same time quite frequently. Even a few of the texts she sends me are the same exact thing I'm texting her. I have a "spiritual" center near my house, I'm going to see if she wants to go there and look around the store and go from there.

That sounds like a good plan to me.

How she wants to proceed with this is most important, as I see it. Trust that her inclinations will lead you. It is never too early to foster self empowerment.

I just want to say it's great to see this dialogue for the following reason: usually in our society when someone says someone's "hearing voices," the first response is "go see a psychiatrist." :) Truly there are many things in reality our society does not understand: non-physical communication is one of them. Anyway, just a "thanks."
