love, mutation, and becoming a 'different person'
 

J. Krishnamurti spoke of what he called 'mutation' and 'revolution.' It's a deep, radical change in oneself and their way of being.

If you think about someone who's a total jerk, then it's easy to see how, if they were to become extremely loving, their entire personality would have to change profoundly.

If one wants to love profoundly, to fully love, there may need to be a deep change, a 'mutation' in which they seem to become a 'different person.'

It's not necessarily difficult to have this radical change. The key is to really know what love is. We have to know how to express divine love and interact with others in that way.

I experienced such a change once when I was on a spiritual retreat. Afterwards I was very different. One of my ex-girlfriend's friends said to her, 'He's SO different!' My personality had experienced what J.K. calls mutation.
