The beginning

Hi all,

I arrived here through the comments section on a NDE video on youtube.
Thanks tinkmarz1!

And while I haven't had a near death experience myself I did experience what you might call a Near Life Experience which conveniently also starts (at the beginning) with an arrival.

I was in such a wonderful place full of love and warmth and along came two bright white beings. They informed me that it was my big day and it was their job to guide me along my path.
I informed them that I was quite content where I was but eventually they convinced me that it was in my best interests to move forward and so I did..

..until I felt a freezing cold sensation! This was extremely unpleasant; moreso that anything I've ever felt in my life and I immediately retreated. They advised me that this was not an option and that they were very busy and did not have any more time to waste on me (and also that they could not come with me at my request and also that I could not go with them either - I was a very difficult customer) but that I should heed their words.

Well after they abandoned me I eventually reluctantly took heed and made my way forward.
And lucky I did because as it turns out it was my birthday! And my parents were very happy to see me for the first time.
..that is until the next day when John Lennon died and my mum was in tears.
I recall my dad saying "You should be happy; you have a son!" and I don't remember much else after that until much MUCH later.

But I do believe that all my memories are in there locked away somewhere (some purposefully so but that's another topic), and the hard part is simply accessing them.
Speaking of memories, I've had a few interesting spiritual interactions in the years since but I'll put those into separate posts as they are quite diverse!

Hello Steven,

a warm welcome to you. Nice to have you here.

Having a pretty busy day (and quite a few messages to respond to), but I would love to exchange messages with you soon.

Welcome fellow newbie! I replied to your question under my post Steven.

What an amazing thing you have recalled! I have never had or heard from anyone about something so wonderful (yet a bit terrifying, I'm sure!).

I myself have recalled past lives. Most of my experiences seem to happen through dreams. But there are dreams and then there are 'dreams', and there is no mistaking or confusing the two.

I look forward to learning more of your experiences and your journey in the forums.

Light and friendship,
~Ais

Greetings Steven and welcome to SF! Thank you for sharing such an amazing story.

Thanks all. I think events in your life that elicit strong emotions are the easiest to remember (first kiss, first child, parents fighting, etc). And the feeling of unpleasantness and abandonment was quite strong at the time.
As for the second part, I'm not really sure. It seemed that my parents both showed strong emotions - I was probably more confused than anything.

As a general rule my memory is quite terrible (too many internal thoughts and not enough external awareness I think) so it's strange that I can remember certain events vividly, but we know through hypnosis/regression that we can unlock memories that we thought were gone forever.

I once had a slushie (like frozen coke) about 15 years ago and I relived in vivid detail the very first time I'd ever tried it as a child (about 30 years ago) which not something I could even recall before that moment, but it was just like being there - quite incredible, really (but you'd have to pm me for more details as I've read the rules on drug references).

The human mind is a wonderful thing.

Hi Steven. I'm new here too:)
Memory is a tricky thing. I dunno what to make of mine sometimes. Interesting share nonetheless.

Hey there! Welcome. (I have joined recently as well).
Agreed, the mind is indeed amazing. Life is amazing and dare I say miraculous if we pay close attention. That's a very interesting share. Thank you! Enjoy SF!
