spirituality and celebrities

i was watching video about new energy updates and i kept thinking i know this lady from somewhere and i asked her did you star in mutant x season 2 lol and she said yes and she's a former actress. it seems spirituality is popular amongst the celebrities. have you noticed that? russell brand has a youtube channel. although it's good information sometimes i think you need to careful and not get to attached, this could end up like some sort of trend just following anyone really.

Don't put anybody on a Pedestal, we are all souls together.

I was thinking that despite whether we are just normal folk or whether we are celebrities we are all humans and all of us can be spiritual.
I've often wondered if we have any celebrities on the forum !!!!

It is an unfortunate human tendency to glamourise celebrities, to want to follow their lives, read their opinions, to put them on a pedestal. They are just ordinary human beings with ordinary human limitations and issues, just like everyone else - they just happen to have an occupation which makes them widely-known. And maybe they have incarnated as such to learn the lessons of fame.

So why the cult of celebrity? Do people feel that their own lives are so routine and dull that they want the reflected excitement of someone else's life? Yet we are each playing the starring role in our own particular drama but it is so familiar that we fail to see how special it is.

And celebrity can be useful. Would TM have become so popular if the Beatles had not become involved with the Maharishi? Which may seem a long time ago and a bit irrelevant nowadays, but meditation suddenly became something which "ordinary" people could do while still living "ordinary" lives.

Peace

I agree with Iamthat.

Why idolize their person? They're humans, but with a (great) talent. Enjoy the talent, don't see a reason to idolize the person and put them on a pedestal. Famous people seem to get away with a lot of stuff and that's not good.
