A map of the astral is impossible because the spiritual dimensions are not the same as a physical dimension. Space is not the same in the spiritual dimensions. So using physical logic to map them out is going to construct an inaccurate result.

Sharing my progress. There is a hierarchy to the astral realms.

The (physical/metaphysical) transitional aspect of my being is my conscious soul. There is a hierarchy when you project from an awakened state and there are physical aspects that one can relate to: higher/lower, front/back, colors, spatial measurements. However, my conscious soul is not lucid dreaming, no dream confusion involved.

I'm with Astral Explorer, it's like trying to make a 3-dimensional map of a 4th dimensional process, impossible to understand that way. I think it just has to be experienced. In a way, taoism speaks to it too, by saying "the tao that can be spoken of is not the true tao." There are some interesting hierarchical things to ponder as far as one's own experiences goes, but ultimately I don't find that it really yields anything useful for me

Your soul has traveled from an awakened state?

I'm charting this for others who may soul travel from an awakened state and invite those who already have to assist me in filling in the question marks.

Hi Wendy, there are a number of books written by OBE/Astral explorers who have tried to describe a map of the non physical dimensions as they have experienced through their travels. You might want to look up the following and see if any of these resonate with you:
- Robert Monroe ("Journeys out of the body", "Far Journeys" and "Ultimate Journey") - These are excellent I would definitely recommend them
- Jurgen Ziewe ("Multidimensional man") - Just came across this and still need to read it - seems to support that found by Robert Monroe
- William Buhlman ("Adventures out of the body", "The secret of the Soul") - Slightly different angle to Robert Monroe with more practical instruction
