Do you think it's possible for spirits to come and go in house?

I'm curious if anyone has experienced spirits coming and going in your house? Not a "haunting" so to speak, but maybe different spirits stopping in briefly and moving on? I know it sounds like a strange question, but I've often thought that's what I'm experiencing in my home.

It doesn't feel haunted (as if there is a resident spirit(s)). Once in awhile, I feel as if someone or something is standing next to my bed. It's quite overwhelming, I keep expecting to see something. Other times; Seeing tiny white lights out of the corner of my eye, seeing shadows with my peripheral vision, hearing very faint conversations, feeling as if something touched my shoulder or hair, knocking sounds coming from the pantry door, etc.

However, I do not feel as if my house is haunted. I am not frightened, just curious and sometimes startled. Does this make sense? I'm interested in others thoughts/experiences. Thank you

Two of our children had entities in their bedrooms at different times of growing up. The daughter's entity was Fae and the son's was angelic. When I entered their bedroom they would leave, and return later. Otherwise no entity can come close to me, unless they have permission.
My father came once before he left this part of the galaxy.
Whether an entity can come and go, depend on their state of mind.
Yes, state of mind, since they have not disconnected from the mind until they complete their crossing over.

I've felt family members that have passed on, but this feels different. It's hard to describe. Maybe I'm just picking up on a different/astral realm? Who knows. Just curious on others thoughts. Thank you :)

We've had spirits pass through our home at times. Most just pop in and then move on to wherever their destination is, as if our home is a train station or something. A few times I've seen spirits come in the back door (which was closed at the time) and come to me so that I could read for someone. One brought her orange cat. We also had a phantom grey cat that was with us for quite a few years, but who has apparently finally moved on. Haven't seen her for several years. So the answer is yes, spirits can come and go as they please.

Yes, that's what I would describe it as; The popping in and then moving on as if our house is a train station.

However, I haven't "seen" anything as far as ghosts are concerned. Just the shadows, hearing things, feeling a presence. I wonder why this "Popping in and Out" occurs? Like I said, I don't feel that my house is haunted or that there is a resident spirit. I don't feel that it fits the whole portal theory either.

Blue Tiger 04-03-2018 08:05 PM

It's entirely possible that your personal energy draws them. If you are a warm-hearted open person or spiritually minded or intuitive, that might be sort of a beacon to them. Sort of a signal that "it's ok to pass through here, they won't bother you."

That's strange, I was just thinking that after I posted my last reply. I literally thought "maybe I'm some sort of beacon" Lol It feels right anyway. I do not feel frightened in any way, just curious. I am open to spirit as far as my beliefs and personal experiences. I wouldn't describe myself as a medium or psychic, but more intuitive. I wish I had the gift of being a medium, it would make it much easier to communicate with whatever is passing through. :)

in my house it happens when major things change. When I first met my wife, she would spend the night while I was at work. At first she would hear walking in the attic. This would happen from time to time when she would spend the night and I wasn't home. After we married her and her daughter moved in her daughters bedroom closet door would open on it's own. Understandablely so if freaked her out. We demanded the spirit to stop because it scares her. Since then the obvious things stopped. But there still around from time to time. We all just coexist. You can tell when there around and when you can't.

The tearm is in visitation . It could be the soul of a once living person, left over energy, human created thought forms, or a living person in their astral body.

Hello

Yes, KI have that all the time and as a Medium I do lots of investigations on other peoples homes. We are never I feel alone just that we do not all open to accept that we have a guest in our home. We do not want to feel that we are being watched (as most contact is in the bathroom) places where we are the most alone.

I have always had someone visit me since I was a young child so its normal for me. It is unnerving for those not used to it though and at times whom is visiting can or does need to be moved on.

Right now in my current house I have the two previous woman here that once owned it visit from time to time to see the changes I am making. The house was built for one of them and she loved to garden, her rose bushes are still here and thriving. The other loved to cook and she visits rom time to time.

A house is a home to us even at times after we have made a crossing. Its a huge part of whom we were and at times we might just want to keep an eye on changes being made til we are fully ready to move on.

Yes, I agree with Blue Tigers post. I am a firm believer that your own beacon of light can draw them in to you to visit. Almost like you have a flashlight on top of your head they are drawn to compared to other people. I have this happen in my own home on a constant basis. Spirits will come and drop by and visit as well as my own lost loved ones. For those I do not know I lay out ground rules for them and it is clear that if they are simply here to visit out of loneliness or whatever their reasons they are welcome provided they have loving intent and do not cause any unrest of our "house rules". Not walking the hallways late at not or stomping around when we sleep, no negative attention with breaking things or knocking things over, hiding or moving things we need etc....If they simply wish to visit and cause no issue they are welcome to. I have no fear of them nor do my family. We all have heard them from time to time walking around or getting the attention of our pets. I am certain from other past experiences I've had that they are drawn to our light.

Many people who have visited my home for the first time have felt the strong presence of my maternal grandmother in the bedroom that I reside in. The minute that they have walked into the room, her presence is felt (they feel like someone is giving them a good look over) and then within a couple of minutes, this presence disappears. The presence is warm but at the same time protective of me is how they have described it to me. The presence is that of a spirit, not a ghost. The presence also is felt in the living room and dining room table but not as strong.

In life my maternal grandmother was very protective of me and the rest of the family. I was her favorite grandchild.

I have problems with spirits for over five years.I see too the white lights you described,The shadows, and i have crack and thud sounds all the day..

The entity or whatever it is,descends to my head, and i feel like my hair are moving on their own,or if i could describe it better, like somone has put a magnet above my head..In any case,i think what you're experiencing,it's not for good..

Check dion fortune's book ''psychic self defence''.She explains that all these symptoms are indicators of a psychic attack

Yes, but my abilities are pretty rusty and nearly shut off now due to the stress of recent traumatic events, so I usually don't have a clue who is coming and going anymore spirits-wise. I have noticed that I seem to get more visitors shortly after I make a new friend (irl), but their presences are always very subtle and fleeting. Deceased relatives of theirs, I assume. Hanging around doorways, briefly showing me an image in my mind or giving me strange impulses (to make a quilt or whatever) etc.

Lately I think they show up more in dreams than in my physical environment, though. (Of course I rarely remember these dreams. They never feel like dreams, either; they feel real. But very fleeting)

In my current place, I have four roommates, and also, one or two people have died in this house (the previous owners)-- that we know of-- so there is always plenty of stuff hanging around (or at least, some heavy and murky residual energy here and there). Two of my roommates have a deceased parent and I have a recently deceased brother (and aunt), so there's that as well. But so far it seems like the only lingering presence is the house's previous owners. It may or may not be the thing that likes to pop into my room and make noises right when I've finally almost fallen asleep. I've only physically seen one of the owners once-- back when I first moved in months ago, I saw a lady in a sleeveless white nightgown in the corner of my eye. However I suppose she wouldn't count as a visitor, as she was here before me. But, it does seem to partly depend on the house for me. Back when I lived at my mother's house, for instance.. (up until this February) That was a nightmare. Definitely felt some not so nice (and possibly not all human) entities there at certain times, which drained my energy severely. One of which I can hardly even describe because it had such a bizarre insect-like appearance (based on how it projected itself in my mind, I mean).

lomax 21-07-2018 11:51 AM

Spirits of the dead around a living human it's not healthy.Even ancestor spirits can vamp you to death,or make you sick.
Also parasites can move into ''shells'' and pretend that they're your departed grandma etc.

Trust no one.

Question even the angelic beings or the ascended masters you call upon, cause most of the times humans think that they're talking with astral entities, but in fact they draw etheric ones.

That's why magical evocative systems are full of patterns and tight structures. To limit the chances of a problematic-parasitic contact.

Eyenight 27-07-2018 12:25 PM

I see very often the silhouettes of my deceased cats walking or running in the house. But when i look around there's nothing. It's a matter of seconds, but they look so real!

dianamadalina 29-07-2018 11:32 AM

Yes it's a possible for ghost to enter house. Last night I forgot main entrance open during night and a ghost played prank on me by determinating me to take pants off during sleep

Jillity 03-08-2018 02:08 PM

When we first moved into our house there was the spirit of a dog. It looked very real. It was a small brown and white dog and it seemed very benevolent but our dog was really frightened of it. The spirit dog just vanished one day and never came back. The other spirits in the house seem to have taken up permanent residence. One of them I believe was a previous owner. If she's around the room goes very cold wherever she is. She's harmless but I haven't felt her presence for a while.

Hi there. I lived in a house for 12 years that consistently had different spirits passing through it. It didn’t feel haunted ( but I knew from a very early time living there that it had spirit activity) because they were always coming and going. It got to be very unpleasant at certain times. I couldn’t sleep because even through my eyelids I could see something hovering over my face. I could not even begin to write out all the different experiences I and others had there. The house was blessed over and over but it didn’t seem to make a difference. It was as if there was a pathway the dead traveled on that went right through my home. Every single person who came over or lived with us or even just stayed with us for any extended time experience paranormal events at that home. Like you I never was afraid. I never felt unsafe and rarely scared. In the end I’d gotten so used to it that seeing something floating was more fascinating then frightening. I just didn’t care anymore. My family just called my house haunted but it wasn’t it was just some sort of transitional space spirits seemed to pass through maybe hangout in a few days then leave.

It was impossible to nail it down as to what caused it because like I said it was always a different spirit or spirits. All the experiences everyone had were different as well. This house was one we purchased as land and built on so I know that no one died there. I did later find out that native Americans lived there a couple hundred years ago.(but in the USA where haven’t they lived before we inhabited this land) Honestly with my experience (I have a lot) that house was on some kind of road or perhaps a lay line for the dead and there was no protection barrier that could seal it up. It was the way it was and I believe that that particular home will always have spirits passing through it. Some places just aren’t meant for the living. Not many places but that place I can say was one of them. I’m hella glad to be out of that home.

Just wanted to add this edit I have NEVER lived in a place without spirits. It’s just not in the cards for me. Even as a younger child they were always around me. The home I lived in before this one was a complete dead zone ( meaning nothing spiritual was there at all it was awesome and amazing) but it only lasted for 3 months before my son and I started to see a man walking around down stairs. We moved and this house came with 4 spirits. Just can’t get away from them.

Dargor 26-08-2018 09:13 AM

Maybe, because I sometimes feel like I'm not alone and being watched when my senses are calm and about to sleep. Don't know what's so great about it though, people are people wether they are invisible or not and I don't take kindly to strangers invading my personal space.

Lynn 03-09-2018 04:45 PM

Hello

I just had one leave via the open front door, they left and closed the door behind them. Closed as in fully closed pulled right shut. There is no air flow in the house right now that would do that.

We had a massive wind storm last night and it seems it has stirred up some energy as things are a bit buzzy around the house right now. Not an electrical storm but winds of change.

Its been a rotten Summer where I live and we are know for our Summer beach fun and activities but again this year forest fires and smoke has choked off the Sun. Now it seems we are heading for an early Fall start as the colours are in change. This seems to bring in more spirit activity. I wonder if its from the negativity of how people feel about the Summer we had and that its over before it started.

Lynn

Yes, it's very normal for spirits to come and go in a house.

Headintheclouds 14-09-2018 10:54 PM

First... I apologize for my delay in responding. I didn't know so many people had commented. Sorry about that! Thanks to everyone that shared their insights and experiences. I really appreciate it.

Like I mentioned previously, I don't feel that my house is haunted or that we have a resident spirit(s). A few mentioned being a sort of beacon to passing spirits which makes sense. When I experience activity, it feels playful (a light tug on my sweatshirt, seeing points of light, etc) not frightening. When I hear a muffled voice or conversation, it feels like it has nothing to do with me (maybe residual). When I sense a presence near me, it feels curious and sometimes unnerving depending on the situation.

I've also felt the presence of passed loved ones, which feels different from this.

Thanks again for the help!

peeps 26-06-2019 09:54 AM

Yes. I think they're from outside, the parks, other people's houses- they follow people who live in the street around and they come and go. They just look at you and leave- or they've got a problem with you, ghosts come into my dreams or they'll annoy me and I can't fall asleep.

They can trap you in a scary dream so you're trying to wake up and get out of it but you can't. They can cause you to feel paralysed and you can't move/wake up. When you wake up it's cold. I think animals have some effect on ghosts, they clear entities which is why people feel comfortable sleeping with pets around.

Yeah,i believe they can, my cat has sensed something ,back a few months ago, she started growling , i remember back 24yrs ago when my oldest son was a baby in his crib i saw looked like a black mass it entered a skylight in the bedroom me &my than hubby was asleep in the bed ,the crib was on the other side of the room i happen to wake up &see this black mass or shallow looking at my son in his crib i got up &looked at it it took off up threw the skylight widow , i grabbed my son &put him in me &my than hubbys bed. it did frighten me. of coarse. i told my hubby about it the next day &he kinda blew it off saying i must of been smoking some green but i wasn't i know what i saw.

I can totally relate to everything you say. In my home now, there's always new spirits that pass through. Besides the few that were non-human, I only saw one face more than once. I don't know what it is, but lately they've been able to get my attention in other ways... like speaking, and smells, and I can even sense their energies when I'm fully awake. Sometimes they play with the lights and the fans. Like you, I've become so used to it, can't explain any of it, but just assume my home has a portal of some sort.

Strangerthanfiction 24-08-2019 07:57 AM

It may be a random spirit who visits you out of curiosity or because the spirit takes an interest in you or your family in some way. It could be that they just want to check everything's okay and that's why they're interested in visiting. It could also be a previous owner who just check by the house sometimes. Spirits who has crossed over can return but they don't necessarily return by going out from the other side but they can access the place of the living while still staying on the other side. It may be possible that the spirit leave the other side when visiting and this means they can easier interact with the physical world. I don't know if every spirit can just leave once they crossed over but it does happen.

It may also be residual energy left over from an individual known as energy memories. Its memories that spirits leave after they die but can also be left by the living.
