Peacock

Thinking of all those turkeys out there (Canadian Thanksgiving weekend)...

This is a little 6"x6" from my sketchbook playing with my new Inktense pencils. It's a challenge because I can't erase with these...so it's a way of working with going with the flow and letting go control..."mistakes" are friends...

JosephineBloggs 12-10-2019 07:01 PM

Now you're teasing, what about his tail, no rush... His head alone is beautiful and detailed. I love peacocks. I thought if I'd ever had enough land to have one it would be great.

Thanks Josephine. Well this one's a portrait so no body. Anyway I don't think I have the patience to do all those fancy feathers.

In my fantasy world I would have peacocks running around free range on my estate and some swans in a pond LOL. And maybe a couple of flamingos. Wonder if they would all get along?

Oh yes, definitely swans and flamingos too. I'm sure they'd get along, the whole thing would be a peaceful fantasy, no bird fighting in it

I can see all sorts of figures and what looks like a polar bear maybe on the mountain. I like the blue of the water too. Looks like something magical is happening there.

I don't believe Uma uses that medium. But even when artists do, it still needs the conduit of the human being to produce the essence or other.

Uma 21-10-2019 08:42 PM

I definitely didn't use software. Today I used a power drill in fact to turn it into a more interesting piece. I call it "The Unfolding Cupboard" The medium is acrylic.
