Astral Plane
 

Hello, everyone. Is the afterlife the Astral Plane?

I think it is part of it,yes.

In some esoteric systems there are various planes - physical, astral, mental, and the spiritual planes beyond.

The astral plane has various sub-planes of differing vibrations. Most people will find themselves after physical death on whichever astral sub-plane resonates with their own vibrations. Some people will struggle to leave the subtle physical planes for whatever reason, while very advanced Souls may bypass the astral plane completely and go directly to a higher plane.

Whichever astral sub-plane we find ourselves on after physical death, there is always the opportunity to progress.
