questions about self hypnosis
hello everyone
I just had a couple questions regarding self hypnosis. I have found a legitimate site that sells hypnosis downloads on plenty of topics. My question is, what brainwave state do we have to bring ourselves down to in order for it to be effective. Also how many weeks or months must we listen to the download every night for it to penetrate our subconscious? Also has it worked for anyone here? :smile: Thank you |

Lauren, I'm not an expert but I practice self hypnosis on myself sometimes.
when you are hypnosed, you are in alpha state. However, you don't need to bring yourself to alpha state to be hypnosed; moreso, the hypnosis script that you use will bring you to that state and then will start the affirmations. So you don't really have to worry about bringing yourself to a certain state and then starting with your session. How long you're going to have to practise self hypnosis depends on many factors : how receptive you are, how the pattern that you want to work on is deeply rooted, etc. So there is no definite answer to this question. I don't practice self hypnosis when I'm sleeping, but when I'm awake (just like if I was going to be hypnotized by a practitionner). What are the benefits of doing it in your sleep? Could you share the link of the website you're going to use? Thank you |
thank you so much for responding ninoushka. I haven't done hypnosis downloads in my sleep, right now ive been experimenting with brainwave entrainment. But I have some negative self beliefs that are blocking me from moving forward which is why I'm interested in self hypnosis. These are the two websites that have a good reputation on the web:

The alpha brain wave state is where self hypnosis is effective. We ease into that whenever we close our eyes and relax down and in, or daydream. Xan |

Lauren... It may sound like sort of a twist, but in your relaxing into alpha letting go of the sense urgency is important.

you guys i just got done listening to a "self belief" hypnosis downloads off of hypnosisdownloads.com. It was excellent--I had my doubts about it being able to bring me down to that hypnosis state but it thoroughly did. Legit!
