Do you feel more pure as a vegan?

I don't exactly eat healthy, but for some reason, I find that being vegan gives me this feeling of purity and lightness in my spirit. I am not saying this because I feel superior to others for this. I am curious besides ethical and health reason if there is another part of this which changes us.

I found being Vegan for a year made me sick. Good luck to you! I hope you dont have a bad time like I did! I went back to milk and eggs

I am perfectly fine, but I have been vegan about since I was a teen. can't speak for others though. Do you think you would try it again?

Lately I have found that food in general lessens my purity since it locks on to attached emotional residue. I guess that eating might be very emotional, so if your food choice makes you feel good it also makes you feel more pure. Just a thought.

I think I know where you're coming from. I find heavier foods in general make me feel more emotional attachment.

That would make sense since it is more dense so you feel it more. Like chocolate taste amazing yet it is also so very full. At the moment I slightly indulge as a way to release the attachment. I kinda am let to believe that we already have everything we need within. At the moment I am still in the phase of fully understanding this though

Thank you! I'm so glad someone else notices this too. My biggest indulgence is bread.

I'd say it's more in your head... Not to sound insulting or anything. In these things it's more of a personal choice in how they feel about their foods which gives them those feelings.

I have eaten only raw foods, and have eat meat.. Neither made a difference in how I felt emotionally based on what I was eating. The only real difference I ever felt was in how my body responded to the foods. Certain foods work best for each body. So when I eat foods that are right for my body, I feel the best. Even if it's meat I eat.

That's a definite possibility it's all in my head but that's not exactly a bad thing either.

Or maybe it is all in our heart or how we wish to perceive it. I think that is the beauty of it :D haha
