I've been working on knowing about God but i don't think i'm having any indication like joy/satisfaction to indicate that i am on right path. Opinion(s) please?

Let's see if a metaphor comes to mind for you, kralaro, my spiritual buddy.
1st - how are you 'working'...reading? What...

Dissatisfaction or frustration on the Path happens when we have an expectation...now see,
right there, you're having a subtle expectation that
you 'should' be feeling at least some joy or satisfaction.
That's normal!
I know right? I mean ''Come on''...Where's the bliss...the peace! :tongue: :biggrin:

Here's the metaphoric advice...wait ...here it comes....:wink:

Why do I say that...couple of things...you are concentrating or simply focusing too much on the 'lack'....
The not having satisfaction of some kind.
That alone scares away the satisfaction. Weird, isn't it?

Now, say, you were ''working on knowing about God''...by simply sitting for 2 hours in complete stillness...
no interruptions...a silent timer in another room set for 2 hours. (88 cents at Walmart in the Kitchen section) ;)

And a week goes by...do you stop or get frustrated? Nope...you
say to yourself, I know He's there...so sit 3 hours.

I promise you with everything in me...you can be as close to God as you want to be...it all depends on how much time you want to spend.
Truly...cool your jets ...relax into it.. 'the process of the slow opening...'

You know there are caves where there is no water...yet there is a drip
every 30 seconds...
there is a river of water with time spent in patience.
