Is this astral projection?

A couple of nights ago I was lying in bed meditating, and entered into a state of deep relaxation. I was in that twilight state between being awake and asleep, and felt I was walking around a place with other people around. The place and the people weren't very clearly defined from a visual point of view -- they were more like hazy outlines. After some time spent in this state, I awoke just enough to realize that it was an unfamiliar environment, and that was when I intuitively started moving the hands of my own "body" in this environment. Then I got a little scared by everything and woke up more, and everything faded. Does this sound like astral projection?

Possibly, could be mental projection or etheric also, it's similar to astral but uses a different body in the auric field. Neither of them require sleeping and both are reachable via deep meditation states. Things tend to look more energetic based or soft edged, not crisp sharp edges like in astral travel.
