Readings for self
Most of the readings I do are for myself for personal reflection and meditiation. I have had the Thoth deck for almost a year, and in that time of doing the same spread with the same cards, 5 times I got the same final card. Not in a row, but it's hard not to notice the same last card in the spread that keeps popping up. This card is the 8 of disks. Is there anyone with experience and knowledge of the Thoth tarot that could think of what the significance of this card showing up repeatedly could be? Thanks:redface:

Hello, Muted..
Not sure if this will help but I found this for you: http://http://www.angelpaths.com/disks/disks8.html I would consider the nature of your question as well as the surrounding cards (as suggested on the site above)... I do agree that depending on how often you do readings, having it pop up 5 times and in the same position would be good reason to explore the significance.. Blessings, Cam/EarthMamma |
Thank you, Cam for the link. :hug3: The card must be significant, and I'm trying to consider the surrounding cards and wondering if each time it comes up, if it's refering to the same thing or something different each time. Thanks again.

The eight of disks usually refers to foundations. You may be using or developing skills and talents which will help you to achieve some sort of outcome or goal in the future. As the last card (usually the outcome card) it suggests that consistant effort will be required to reach your goals.

Thank you OceanWaves. The reminder to be consistent is an important thing to keep in mind.

Perhaps it is popping up so often because it's a card you are spiritually inclined to. To you relate to it in any matter? Maybe personality wise? I tend to have the Temperance and Queen of Wands follow me in the Raider-Waite deck quite often because of my spiritual connection to them.
