I can't enough emphasise the importance Ram Dass have have
played in my spiritual life.

He have generously shared his journey
and teachings with us in writings, tapes et.c.


There is also a closed facebook group community during the weeks of practice.
An opportunity to hear what other seekers experience.....

This is best to learn from person PHD in psychology & psychiatrist. He will be true introducer of meditation.

All the masters say the same thing....

Satsang - company of likeminded people searching for the truth is of
great importance in spiritual life. Otherwise it's hard to keep focus in the midst of thehumdrum of mundane life.

In lack of satsang. spiritual friends and company, the books and writings of teachers and masters can be great support, and is in fact a way of having satsang in your own life anyway.

I had a meditation center and spiritual minded people to be with once a week for many years. This was great support. Now this is not so anymore.
The books of masters and teachers is the substite and inspiration now.

Ram Dass is a great hangout for this purpose and have played a great role in implementing spirituality in the west...:smile:

Today starts Navratri ! 9 Days of global inflow of meditative energy from the Shakti /spiritual energy.

Great time to tune into deeper meditation.

I didn't realise it's the same time as the Ram Dass retreat. That one starts on friday I think ?
Good for meditative energy.

In spite of the mass of pictures and ritualistic practices expressed, I believe in simple meditation getting in touch with
your inner Self. It's simple. But symbols and rituals are a bit fun....bitten by the bug. lol .

The course started today.

It's a pity. Seems really good.

Your altar is very good. My poojaghar (Altar) is in my kitchen 3-4 feet high.
So some time when I need to sit in front of Altar, I take photo of Rameshwarji (Rama, Sita, Laxmana, Hanumana, Rmeshwar Shivlingam, Shiva and mother Parvati/ Shakti) and one Shivlingam one glass of water, fruit and Diya.
