Hi Discordians,

The SF Staff are well aware that a group of you who follow the Discordian belief system has recently joined this forum. A renegade member who perhaps should have known better than to post on the open forum made a mockery of your beliefs and derided you as individuals. For this, the SF Staff apologises.

However, the recent controversial threads that have started popping up regarding and defending your belief systems are full of profanity and attacks. The SF Staff asks that you now stop posting in these threads for they will soon be closed. Should you ignore this, then you will be banned IMMEDIATELY.

You ARE welcome to DISCUSS your beliefs in the lounge. At least for the time being, discuss your beliefs in the Lounge, whilst this situation is resolved. I hope that this has made it clear to you that the SF Staff, whilst we welcome you to this forum, we will not tolerate behaviour of the sort that has been witnessed so far. You will be banned immediately should you ignore this announcement, thank you.

This banning also extends to any member starting threads which are anti-discordian. You too will be banned immediately. Thank you all for your time, Kundalini, SF Staff.

All such threads are being moved to the Lounge.

We have been swamped with members who are followers of SubGenius, Pastafarian, Last Thursdayism and Discordians. For the most part they have been disruptive, disrespectful, profane, and even vulgar. In the past 24 hours we have had to ban 15-20 such members.

To all SubGenius, Pastafarian, Last Thursdayism and Discordians, you are not welcome at this forum, and any new members suspected of being such will be banned.

I know this is harsh and drastic, but if this is left unchecked, they could very well destroy this forum. I hope our long term and regular members understand the need for such action.

Some information for our regular and well-mannered members. The onslaught of troublemakers is still going on. We have now banned probably 40, and maybe more, new members the past day and a half. Because some of them are posting in existing threads, and often posting porn images and such, we may have to pull good threads from the open forum for a while, in order to clean them up. We will return all established threads to the open forum ASAP, hopefully to the original board they were first started in. If one of your threads gets pulled for cleaning, and is returned to the wrong section, please bear with us, and PM a staff person, and we'll place it where you had first posted it. Thanks for your understanding.

During the past week, we banned close to 70 new members, who we believe were Discordants or their supporters. Of course it's also possible that a few of those we banned might have become decent, active members. While we regret if this did happen, the continued safety of this forum is more important than any one member. We now have precautions in place so that our forums should be able to get back to normal. We still reserve the right to ban any new member who we suspect of being a Discordant, based on their posts, without using our Warnings system. As far as we can tell, Discordants are still swarming our site, as many as 20 at a time, trying to find ways to invade us again.
