Pain after astral projection
 

Hi all! :)
I encountered a very strange experience last week, which I'm pretty sure was astral projection, I've never projected before, I've never even tried, however I do meditate almost every night and I have read up about it so I'm pretty sure this is what I experienced. I woke up in the middle of the night, couldn't move or make a noise, I felt something very heavy on my chest however I couldn't actually see anything in the room, I had an intense pain all over my body and started to panic a bit, so I instantly thought I need to think happy thoughts, there was then a bright light and I felt a "whoosh" sensation, then all of a sudden I was at the bottom of my stairs! I wasn't there for very long before I got snapped back into my body and went back to sleep. When I woke up the next morning I had aches and pains all over my body! Is this normal and has anyone ever experienced this? Unfortunately I've never managed to repeat this again.....I'm not even sure how to if I'm honest! But it certainly was an experience I'll never forget! Please help!

Congrats on your OBE!

Pain during these experiences is not unusual. I too have felt intense pain before - but in the instances I've experienced it it's been more localised to certain areas (example hands).
Yes, for me too it extends to the next day.

A while back I attempted the exercises in 'Mastering Astral Projection' by Robert Bruce, and specifically the energy exercises drew me to conclude that this pain during OBE's could actually be small energy blockages.

Some experts suggest gently sweeping your body's energy up and down to loosen it before sleep (or astral projection attempts).
