The silliness of calling Christ an "enlightened man"

It amazes me that people believe Jesus was an enlightened man rather than God incarnate. All one really need to do is establish a relationship with Him and you soon realise that He is very, very powerful and loving. His grace and holy spirit are far greater than any enlightened man could ever be.

2000 years of Christian first hand experience of His grace has shown that He is greater than a man. It is only those who have never tasted His love that believe Him to be an enlightened man.

Just think of all those billions of people who have worshipped Him over the years. There are hardly any who suddenly say "wait, Jesus is not God. He is only a man!" Experience of Him is the point here. Once you have tasted Him you KNOW.

Jesus was definitely ' Enlightened '

John 8:12

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

Samuel 22:29

For You are my lamp, O LORD; And the LORD illumines my darkness.

Isaiah 9:2

The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.

Daniel 2:22

It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.

John 1:9

There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man

Acts 13:47

For so the Lord has commanded us, 'I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.

And many more Verses if you do a little research

No silliness at all.

You are missing the point as ever. I am not saying he was not enlightened....I am saying he was not an enlightened MAN.

Enlightened men cannot save souls. Jesus can. Jesus has far more Godliness than any enlightened man.

sky123....please grow up and stop pretending you know everything.

You deliberately misinterpreted my post. As you do to so many posts here in the Christian section. Please stop it.

He was definitely a MAN
I don't believe in a Soul so I can't comment on him saving them... or not. I would like evidence that he saved souls before I could think about that one....

I do believe that Jesus was God incarnate, He was the Father in flesh.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

The verse above always hits me to the core of my being.

Yes. I agree. The Bible states that no one can say Jesus is LORD except by the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, it's impossible to say Jesus is God because our limited human senses cannot fathom anything Divine.

Now, this goes to show that without the help of the Creators Spirit, we cannot identify the Creator. With our physical and spiritual senses, we can say this is God and that Is not, and our delusions continue ad infinitum. We are how Christs own disciples say all sorts of things about Him, but Peter being divinely influenced says who Jesus really is.

But ego... ego tells us all sorts of lies!
