Awareness seeks to understand existing.

I feel significant in the arms of loving nurture and wise guidance.

Not measured.
But what is this!!? What is happening!!?
I must do this or nurture is withdrawn?
Must be what you want me to be?
Must become what you have always desired to be?
What about my need?
Your needs cannot answer my need.
But what can I do?
I must find my own, must create my own sense of significance.
Not absolute, for I cannot provide myself with that--but I can be more than, I can be better than, I can attempt to find the significance I need by relative measure.
But now I divide as a consequence--for else relative measure is impossible.

Relative measure is accepted, promoted, worshipped. Why!?
I see, I see. It provides profit, and power, and influence, and yes, apparently--so I am told--that sense of significance I seek.---Though it evidently needs to be constantly maintained, constantly topped up, constantly absorbing more and more energy and resources.
Oh what is the consequence of all this!? Where is it taking me? Where is it taking us?
