Has anyone summoned or talked with Lilith/Ishtar?

She came to me in a dream a couple months ago and told me "My name is Lilith. I am truth."

Lilith - no

Inanna-Ishtar - yes.

They are not the same, so don't confuse the two. Lilith has her origins in Sumerian Lilitu, a collective name for predatory female spirits that were much feared in ancient times, known to prey on men and children. At least that is what the historical research says, but I've never come across her, so I cannot be sure.

As for Inanna-Ishtar she was the chief Goddess of the middle east and worshipped all over the world for thousands of years, going back to at least 4000 BC. She later became known as Astarte/Aphrodite and Venus in the West and as Durga, Tara and Kwan Yin in the East, where she is still worshipped and much respected. The planet Venus is named after her and is her chief symbol. This is all from mainstream scholars and can easily be checked online.

Why do you think Lilith came to me in my dream and said she is truth?

Some of the information is contained in scholarly books that are not easy to get hold of. I found a few in specialist bookstores in London, when I used to live there, especially in the vicinity of the British Museum.

However, Wikipedia does a decent job of summarizing all the research, if you read through the wikipedia pages of each goddess, it is quite straightforward to establish the historical links and the spread of the Ishtar-cult all around the ancient world.

I really have no idea, sorry.

If I had to speculate, perhaps it has something to do with Kundalini leading to a spiritual awakening and revealing the truth to the seeker. There is some serpentine symbolism around the Jewish depiction of Lilith, and Kundalini is often thought of as a Goddess in the East, so that may be the meaning behind it. Just a guess though...

This is from a dutch website, translated to english

Lilith is a mythological figure. You could describe her in many ways, for example "the most notorious demon in the Jewish tradition", or as an untamed shrew. But these short descriptions do not do justice to her complex story, which has evolved for centuries. One of the first references to its existence dates from 2400 BC, in a Sumerian list of demons. It describes a frightening group of succubus-like "Lillu demons" who, according to a scientist, "seduce men into their sleep, and then have grotesque children with them."

when i concentrate on this now i have the feeling Lilith wants you to drink from her oasis, her truth. She is is not a mild person, she almost forces you to drink her truth.
I think you're subconsciousness is telling you to be wary of this. Always use logic and reason to withstand these kind of seductions into her fantasy's. she makes you less conscious (more asleep) so you cannot see the real truth anymore.
That is my feeling about this.

On the Myth of Inanna-Isthar and Ereshkigal you may be interested by this book:

"Descent to the Goddess, A Way of Initiation for Women" By Sylvia Brinton Perera.

It's a study in Jungian Psychology. "This is a highly and provocative book about women's freedom and the need for an inner, female authority in a masculine-oriented society"

Like NoONE, I just love her presence when she comes to me.

As for Lilith, something deep in my intuition tells me to stay away from her for the moment. Don't know exactly why. Is it fear of an unknown deep feminine part of myself exploited by our masculine side? I will not know before I chose to step into Her realm to find out. But I feel one needs to have resolved all its inner fears before doing that.
