trying too hard to meet my guide?
 

Hi everyone

I am currently going through big change in my life, and I have been calling out to my guide/s to help me or give me comfort in this time, also just to give me affirmation if I am making the correct decisions, as I am a very indecisive person, and I have this habit of feeling guilty for my decisions if it doesn't make others happy...

Anyway, I feel like maybe I have been trying too hard to communicate, and it has lead me to miss messages or over look them. I know my guides have helped me before, as I sometimes get this strange intuition, that is greater than me, and I know it is coming from elsewhere... I also talk to myself constantly and answer my own questions, but I am not sure if it is just my rational mind, or if it is my guide answering my own questions in my own voice or thoughts...

I also feel a presence from time to time, but I have a slight anxiety when I feel it, and I am not sure why...

Does any one have any tips to help me just let go and allow my guide in without pushing or trying too hard?

The first thing i can say to you is experience,sometimes answers come into your mind and youre thinking where did that come from, that is spirit.but the more you do the more experience you get.so the more confident you get. i would say give it a break for a couple of days.then go back into meditation with a clear mind/ you are on the right path but we never stop learning.if there is a spiritulist church near to you it might be an idea, to go there where you can be taught in the correct way.

I agree with Gaia.
I admit, that happened to me-more subconsciously as I sort of felt the same at some stage when I was trying to find & meet my higher self.
I always see my guides in dreams, they are always there on the background and comes & helps when needed.
The most interesting one is the wolf `cause I was instinctively scared of it in our first few meetings, but he/she's actually turned into a really lovely companion & :hug3: can turn into a puppy sometimes or even a :D half dolphin full of teeth of sort.

Kae, something I learned (thru a spiritualist teacher) is what they call sitting in the power, or sitting in the silence. Its a meditation where all you do is sit, quiet your mind and nothing. State your intention before starting, like "I am sitting for spirit to get in touch with the greater source of the universe". It took me a few times to really quiet my mind, but once I was able to just "be"my spiritual connections took up a whole new dimension.
