Policy on old threads?
I apologize if this is covered elsewhere, I couldn't find it with a search.
I'd like to know what the policy/culture is here, on resurrecting old threads vs starting a new one. I was on a forum where it was frowned upon to start new threads if there were pre-existing ones on a similar topic, and on another forum where the opposite was the case and they preferred you to start new threads. I know each forum has a 'flavour' and way of doing things. And how old is "old"? Thanks |
Hi Luna, welcome to the forum.
Rehashing old threads is fine here. I may remove old threads if the thread is too personal and if the original poster is no longer here to comment ( not too common). Sometimes I may put a disclaimer to warn the members that the thread is old. However, for the most part, we don't have a policy where you can/can't. As long as your engaged in discussion and dialogue, your fine to post on any thread and topic. No restrictions there. Kindest, Cloves |
Thanks very much, Clover. :)
