"Hands of Light" by Barbara Ann Brennan
 

I was wondering if any of you have read "Hands of Light" by Barbara Brennan? We are having a garage sale, and I just found this in our book collection and am thinking about reading it. It's not about "Reiki" itself, but is about healing by using energy on people's auras and chakras. Supposedly also tells you how to develop High Sensory Perception (HSP) on energy fields.

I saw a review from a Reiki Master saying this is probably one of the best and most descriptive books that describe the energy field and how it works, so I think I'll give it a shot. Just curious if any of you had.

Also, got me thinking, I've always believed ALL of us can heal using energy and channeling. I more saw Reiki as a way to open that channel a lot faster and give the ability to draw more energy and act as a more open conduit than if not attuned. What do you guys think about Reiki vs. non-Reiki healing using hands on energy?

Wonderful book...read it so many years ago, tho.

I learned the first 2 levels of Reiki...I never use it...
I'm like a 'Faith Healer', I suppose you'd say...
I talk to the Holy Spirit/ God and He does the healing.
But, whatever works for a person...one person sees God's hands in
a pill...another in a healer
All the same when you or the mind's belief system
is open to it, I say.

I love your answer! That's actually what I believe, as well, because I thought long and hard prior to becoming attuned. I believe a lot of people are attracted to Reiki, since it's non-religion based, but, I've even heard that some practice Christian Reiki. I've even used what I've learned and added my own touches to it (such as praying to God and asking to send Angels in some cases ) which, to me, makes it seem so much stronger. Thank you for your feedback, I think I'm interested in reading this book now.
