Amateur question on tarot

Hi people,
I got that "Galaxy tarot" app on my phone. I try to use it, but i feel I cannot do it properly.
I am not sure how to ask a question; I just ask you for general guidance on, how to approach tarot...
Feel free to respond :)

Best advice I can give is,
Don't ask closed questions (those that require a 'yes' or 'no' answer) use questions that start with, 'how, why, what'.
Don't get bogged down by 'traditional' meanings, see what meaning the card suggests to you (using life experiences helps).
There is no right or wrong way to read tarot so don't let anyone tell you what you must and must not do.
Relax and take your time, tarot is a study, nobody ever picked up their first deck and knew exactly how to do tarot (although they will try and convince you that they did).
We all get the card message wrong at some point, it's part of learning.
Have fun with it, join in here with the reading games (we don't bite).
