'real' crystal balls
I was told by a medium on the weekend that I should be working with a 'real' crystal ball. I'm new to crystals, but can someone explain to me what a 'real' crystal is and how they work ? She said something about slowly rotating the ball in front of a candle in a dark room. Would it simply be a circular version of any type of crystal ? Would you actually see images in the ball ?
Any explanation would be much appreciated ... |
a clear quartz crystal ball ( not plastic ) is what she is referring to. No you don't see in the ball, you see in your mind. It's a tool for focus. Just like a scrying mirror.
They can be pretty expensive. http://www.crystal-cure.com/crystalball.html |
Thanks Laura.
So would using a clear quartz crystal ball be any different than using the same type of crystal with a different shape ? Any idea what she may have been referring to in regards to using it with a candle behind it ? |
Yes, it's called scrying. But you can do it with a bowl of water (dark bowl) just as easy in the moonlight.

It may FEEL like you are, but I have always seen in my mind. It's the reflective surface that matters, not the shape. |
thanks again Laura !

Sure good luck and always protect.

I'm also wondering if the medium was also referring to a "natural" crystal ball. That is, one that is not "fused". "Natural" crystal balls are made from natural crystal and are just ground round and smoothed. They'll have imperfections in them.
The "fused" are manufactured from silica dioxide sand. It's melted and fused to form a near-perfectly clear ball. But it's not crystalline. |
I have one that's almost perfect and it's quartz, but it was UBER expensive :P
|
when you say 'UBBER' are we talking hundreds, thousands, millions, etc ... :)

Sounds nice, if you don't mind me asking, where'd ya get it? I've seen some AAA spheres, but anything above 2"-ish are, like you said, uber expensive. |
