Nosebleed

Hi all, I hope someone might shed some light for me.

I've been working the last little while on doing healing for myself, trying to work through some blockages and all. What I've been doing is some belly breathing (as per Xan) and some meditation and visualizing white light coming through the body from the top of my head on down through the chakras. Just so you have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Last night I started the breathing and was pulling the white light down and when it got to the centre of my head, I got a nosebleed, which brought my session to a screeching halt and I didn't restart. The two could be just coincidence but I don't get nosebleeds often or easily. And I've had a brutal bad headache all day today from it.

Any thoughts on this? What could I avoid doing in future, am I perhaps approaching this healing idea in the wrong way?

I think perhaps avoid that technique. I hear what you are saying but don't see how anyone could offer a thereputic method without knowledge of the details surrounding the hurt you wish to heal.

Usually just opening up and talking to a trusted friend about it is plain, simple and effective I think.

Thanks for your thoughts Gem. I'm pretty much just wondering if it's possible that the two are connected.

I'm not even sure of what the hurt is that needs healing (it's emotional not physical) - rather I keep hoping it will either become apparent or I will move beyond the need for healing.

It can all be a little complicated when it doesn't have to be lol.

i would advise you to be gentle with yourself while doing healing, and perhaps get a healer to assit you, guide you in the begining

the metaphysical cause for nosebleeds is crying out for love and recognition.

" trying to work through some blockages and all ' ......."I'm not even sure of what the hurt is that needs healing (it's emotional not physical)".

I dont get it..........WHat were you doing then?.You assume you have blockages but you don't know what needs to be healed?.......That blockage, if there is any, has a reason for being there........I think there are safer ways to get these blockages removed or balanced or whatever you want to call it........

I didn't know that - interesting. Considering what I've been working on, that rather fits. Thanks for your thoughts.

If you'd like to advise me of those ways, I'm more than happy to hear it

I guess there must be symtoms like feelings and sometimes who can know what these are doing and why they do it?...

I know what hurts me Kaere, but I try to feel every detail and in my body I feel it in the pit of my guts under my ribs and right here (clutches heart), so I sit quietly and really pay attention to the bodily sensations and feel them intently.

Even though my mind can see the reasons this pain was caused I ignore its chattering and melodrama and just concentrate and focus on the sensations I described coupled with the emotions, and really get to know them as I explore them deeply, and really feel it physically and emotionally. And... it's serious work.

I find this actually leaves me with a warm open feeling inside...

That's exactly it - to not know why one feels the way they do. So you sit quietly and meditate and fill yourself up and wait for clarity.

Yes, it is very serious work. I've been trying this as well the last two weeks or so. And while I've had some good breakthroughs on changing perspective and that's let a lot of it go - there's still enough there to be incapacitating at times, where I truly cannot draw a breath. But it'll come, I'm sure

try breathing through the feelings, eft etc should help! i should be working on this myself lol
