Lasting peace.

The peace of ending the feeling of disconnection is not complete until All aspects of self and the manifestation we see around us, are included as Oneness manifest. Usually the most difficlt to include is our own suffering and the suffering we see in the world around us.The desire for that peace can be so great however, that it eventually overcomes that difficulty, not necessarily by understanding why Oneness arises as suffering, but by trusting that if it does arise, that is how it must be.

One of the sublime, totally transcendental, aspects of nonduality is that even when struggling with this, the seeker is not disconnected for it must already be Oneness struggling and feeling disconnected.

No escape from connection even in the state of feeling disconnected!!! So you are no less connected, no matter what state you are in right now, than the most reverred Guru.

:)

Can you share how oneness or non duality arises as suffering?

Wouldn't one still caught up in suffering still be in the local mind and not at the universal mind/oneness level?

‘No matter what state you are in right now’ oneness is the case.

Yes. But realisation of this is not the case - until it is.

So ‘you are no less connected’ than the guru.

Yes. Equally for the seeker or guru, oneness is the case. But the seeker is oblivious to their true situation - until realisation dawns (that’s precisely why they are a seeker.)

It is not the seeker who is oblivious:)

In the nonduality story, Oneness is the only reality, so there is simply nothing else available to arise as suffering or anything else. If this resonates all it means in terms of suffering is that you are no longer disconnected when suffering.

The same applies to what you have called local mind/universal mind/oneness level. All are Oneness manifest for the same very good reason, there is no alternative available.

This is an important point, for often, when the s hit hits the fan in life as it invariably does for us all at some point or other, then the realisation that it is contained within a bigger picture if you like, that bigger picture being oneness itself, has in my own experience, a liberating effect upon the apparent sufferer. Feelings of guilt and failure which arise surrounding suffering are seen as feelings which move, dissipate rather than are static and here to stay. So if these sufferings, if I may call them that, arise, the realisation of oneness has a purify effect upon them. At least it gives rise to ecstatis, in the sense that all things that arise must dissipate, that there is divine movement or oneness again, although it has never really arisen or dissipated. What was born and died was the episode of suffering or disconnect as you say.

Agreed, it is an important point, often overlooked.
