Using energy for self defense
 

Not necessarily in a physical sense, but more so against entities looking to feed off of you. If so, would the same methods be effective against a psychic attack?

A shield is always a good thing to ward off hostiles. A banishment is a bit more effective once they are present.

Grounding can help too. If you're into using objects you could charge them with a particular protective intention. That might go along with banishment. I like burning sage sometimes to cleanse a space. Some people also use sound, like a singing bowl, or you could use some kind of shaker (common in shamanism).

Thank you for the reply. I have a family heirloom replica forged roman sword. Would I be able to charge this item with protective energies? Obviously I don't plan on swinging it around at entities haha.. It just has more of a sentimental / protective meaning to me.

Your best bet would be to meditate once a day, but practice feeling and remembering positive emotions throughout your day. Combined with qigong and you'll become much more difficult to shake.
