uh o.k. you could burn the bible at the stake and join the witches

and set your self free !!!!

I wonder if this is a joke ? ;-)

lets say it is for those with no actual link to angels, ascended masters and such divine realities :-)

I quite like religious people. Come to think of it, there are lots of people I like, and I don't even know if they have a religion.

I've got friends who are Pagans, Druids, Catholics, Muslims, New-Agers and Conspiritualists; I love 'em all, even my Conspiritualist friend who believes that the Isle of Wight is the centre for world Satanism. I've tried to convince him that it is Drefach Felindre, but he won't have it.

I'm fine with most people in general, religious or not. It's just when they start getting preachy, saying you *HAVE* to do something because something that person believes in says so (basically saying you have no choice and you HAVE to do so-and-so because THEIR belief says you HAVE to), then they start forcing their beliefs onto you so you can be like them to make THEM happy, and it's clear they don't really care about your opinion in the matter, it gets REALLY difficult to be around them.
Like nails on a black board or rubbing a balloon so it'll do that really painful squeaking screeching sound.

I honestly have no idea how people tolerate individuals like that.

People are free to believe in whatever their heart desires. I'm 100% okay with that. However, the moment they start forcing their beliefs on others and using the line 'you have to because this book says so', nuh-uh.

well my problem with the bible is that is to many pages and boring to read

I guess there are many books that live op to that quality

one book i really like was 'this perfect day' by Ira levin must have read it 5

times or more by now, over the years

now who would not want a perfect day or maybe lots of them :-)

Very good point. Everyone likes perfect, or, at least, really REALLY good days!

I understand loneflower ,if you are able to simply say I respect that if this is whats good for you then that is great but I would like to find my own way my own way and I would like you to respect that.

Probably the best thing to do if even though you may respect someone and their ideals and choices, and if you really really can't find common ground and any harmony -is just get yourself out of their air-space.
