A Rose
Was a little bored a few nights ago, so I wanted to practice free hand drawing again after a very long layoff. I did it in blue ballpoint pen on the back of an envelope. Liked it and left it on my desk.
Tonight I felt the need to finish it: It's done in ordinary Papermate ballpoint ink pens. |
That's lovely!

It is lovely - and all with ballpoint pens. Glad to see you've started your own art thread.

What a wonderful work. I love roses.

I really like that, it has its own energy about it and because of the angle of the shading even slightly vibrates/pulsates as you glance at it. Roses are my favorite flowers, I feel like this is a pic that could become a tattoo

I found a website I have been having fun with http://weavesilk.com/
Here is something I did on it. Started out as: Then added: Finally: I hope some of you try this out. |
I did this 1 while listening to Kamelot's Memento Mori:

I just had a go - that was great fun! :D

Still relearning stuff and can't wait till I get my new art supplies.
I was doing this as a form of meditation with a few different things. It has fine point sharpie markers, ballpoint pens, colored pencils and watercolors. I might add a black background after it fully dries. |
