Rest in peace, Donna Summer 1948-2012
I know this is going to be corny to some if not most of you, but when I heard of her passing from cancer last night on my way to work, it troubled me. If anybody ever asked me who my favorite female vocalist is/was, it would be Donna Summer. She was everything from beautiful, sexy, seductive, bold, dramatic, soft, gentle, upbeat, happy, and with the right touch of 'tude. I loved her in high school; even took a lot of flack for it. But her songs are going through my head now...there are a few I wish I had, though. Maybe now, they'll come out with a complete collection of her 12" mixes. Anyway, I hope wherever she is in the universe, she's at peace.
