How to get more affiliated?
 

I have a number of crystals. I try to just see of I am drawn to any and carry them with me for the day. Sometimes I sleep with them under my pillow. I don't seem to notice any changes/differences when I do carry them.
I find that when I sleep without them my dreams are more vivid/I recall them more.
There is one crystal that I notice a difference with so I know they work. I have a smokey quartz which helps me with pain/discomfort. I had a bad back one day so, I placed it between my back and the elastic in my skirt whilst I was at a family meal. By the end of the meal my back was fine.

Maybe I need a closer connection with them. How would I do this? Thank you.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on metaphysical properties ( I collect them just for art and décor ) but I guess any answer is better than no answer, and I have learned a thing or two just collecting crystals, even if I myself don't " practice " or " work " with crystals.

Try cleansing them under the light of a full moon, that is supposed to remove any negative energies.

Try simply talking to them, that works for some people.

Again, I'm not the best person to talk to because I personally don't feel anything spiritual from them, I don't seem to be sensitive enough to their energies. I actually could use some help in connecting to them as well.

BTW, smokey quartz is awesome. One of the nicest looking most interesting quartz in my opinion. I have an almost 10 LBS smokey citrine from Tibet, the thing is unreal.:smile:

I have crystals that I use on regular base.

It is important that you clean them(those that are used or planning to use). You can do it in various ways:

*Salty water for few hours(but not all of them can be in water!!) and then leave on the full moon to charge
*With incense or white sage smudging
*with the sound,if you have Tibetan bells
*bury them in plant pots or dry herbs and leave for few days

After you need to program them and use it just for that(or cleanse and reprogram them for different use). You do that by holding one in your palm and just say what you want. It can be useful if you read some properties of crystal in use to know what are its strengths .

For example: I have 3 small tumble Ametysts that I use only if I have a headache . I asked them to help me get rid of any pain or discomfort in my head. Important that you thank them! (I say thank you three times). If I feel I would need them,I place them on my sides in forehead,relax for 20min and pain is gone. You have to clean them after each use(if it is for releasing pain)!

I will sure try speaking to them. Have written the properties of some and they do so much, I never want just one thing out of them. Maybe that's the problem! Also, I did read a blog where someone said, your crystals know why you need them more so you could just ask them to help for our highest good. So maybe I should try being more specific.
Makes sense since the Smokey Quartz does the trick and I just use it for the pain. I have misplaced it at work, I think I need a spare one. It really is a great asset.
