Retreat-Center for meditation (interfaith)
 

Hello

I'm looking for a place, where I can practice meditation for several month. I know some centers with Zen-Background, but if possible, I would like to be in a place, where there is no traditional religious or spiritual background, "interfaith" or a teacher with his own method (but not a sect).

I don't know where you are located, how far you are willing to travel or how much you are willing to spend. Searching online is an obvious option, or you could buy Yoga or New Age magazines relating to your country and check out the adverts. You may find what you are looking for.

But many retreats are run as courses, and it sounds as if you want a long-term option. And many retreat centres do seem to have some particular spiritual tradition. And how much time do you want to spend each day in meditation - some centres might expect you to contribute through some kind of work?

But there must be something out there.

In my city, this is something that I know about and love.
The Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) has 7am -10 on first Sundays.
Every other Sunday 9-10am
One Saturday a 5 hr. 9-2pm
Every Thursday 6-8 pm

If you can't find what you want...creating a Meditation Room or curtained/ canopied area..that is made special
will due until you find something.
We often have to make our own sacred spaces and follow our own disciplined diets.
