Is my OBE experience the same as y'alls?
 

Every time I hear about out of body experiences (OBEs), it sounds pretty cool and I think, man, it sure would be cool to experience that.

Well, over the past few years I have realized that I might be having them, but understanding/describing them differently. For me, I'm not aware of my "body" per se. I dont look back down and see my physical body ever, as I hear so many do and I don't realize myself inhabiting a body of any kind as I do my thing. When it happens though, I do things in this "imagination" realm that the physical body can't do, like fly.

My last OBE was during a meditation recently where I felt as if my "astral" arms were in front of me as my physical arms kept beside me. It was clear that I was aware of both set of arms at the time, and I could feel both. One was imaginary/energetic and the other very earthly/physical. This instance has been the clearest I've experienced.

Are other OBEs/astral projections like this?

There are various degrees of projection. During a full projection your focus is completely outside / beyond your physical body, and you are fully aware, no fuzzy thinking or feeling.

I too believe I’ve had at least 2 OBEs in the last year or so but haven’t seen my own body either. I felt like I had the ability to go a bit further away from my body but I don’t think I was ready for that. The room was an eerie blue colour both times which I found a bit lonely and empty. Could you describe yours in a bit more detail for me? I’m new to the forums and would like to confirm my experiences, although I’m pretty certain already. It would be good to hear about others OBEs as I find them so interesting!

Typical out of body occurs in the hospital near death.Your physical mind is in communication with your spiritual mind. Your spiritual mind is in communication with the spiritual mind of the doctors and nurses around you. Data from the physical mind of a nurse will enter her spiritual mind and be transmitted to your spiritual mind and then to your physical mind. So you see yourself from outside yourself.
Now you have a blue light image of yourself. What can cause that? Some people have two souls. They have a natural new soul and often a reincarnated soul. If the reincarnated soul wants to leave or you manage to push it out of you, then you will not get a visible image of yourself. Data from the guest reincarnate's mind will flow into your natural new soul and then into your physical brain. So you are getting a spiritual image and not a physical image.

aimtobe, there is a thing called "dual consciousness", in which a person can be fully aware of the astral scenario and aware of their physical body as well.
I have never experienced that but know that some genuine projectors have.

This is Conscious Projection, not Astral projection.
As your third eye opens and you develop deeper states of meditation prior to leaving body you will see much more clearly and in ranges our human eyes can't see in.

The Conscious Projector group I work with experience ourselves as soft glowing orbs of light and can see each other also (we travel together). We can are aware of our body and can hear sounds in the area our bodies are in. Think of it a bi-location. If we become too aware of our bodies (need to urinate for example, or doorbell ringing) our consciousness will be pulled back into the body.

Often when out of body I will try to touch something in my view as if I was still in a body, however 'energy mist' forms can actually do that, though we can often receive information about a subject as if we had touched it.
It's quite interesting.
