Business and thoughts/beliefs

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am not even sure weather or not this thread belongs here. I started a small business a year ago and I am selling online too. I have grown (literally) a good variety, my website is good though not great and everything should be OK but the sales are not going very well.
I have a very strong feeling that there are two reasons:
The first being it has something to do with my beliefs about money business etc. ... The second that I worked quite hard and I did not have a lot of time cleaning up, the front veranda and the shed is a mess. This week I picked up a book at the op shop about feng shui and -voila the entrance is the career area! I already had a very good market in the past after cleaning this area up. Did someone have a similar experience? (I am cleaning up right now)
With the first issue I I just have one thought: It has something to do with how we grew up in the Western part of Europe, the Church was still alive and you know the saying of Jesus than you would rather get a camel through the hole of a needle than a rich man in heaven. And socialism was quote en vogue back then. Probably making a lot of money clashes with that belief.
And I have the feeling that it is an either or - wither you welcome money or not - you can't welcome just a little money. I can't back this up with anything though. Any comments?

I am tidying and three not terribly big orders ran in. It is by no means sufficient but still, because I haven't fisnnished tidying up yet. There's something to tidyness - have you ever been in a well off person's house which was a mess? There are exceptions, but that is not the way you want to live.

Sometimes focusing on the desired results robs you of how to achieve those results.

If that is the case, then focus on offering what others want and let the results take care of themselves.

That is true. The tidying up thing is actually taking focus away from working. I want to explore that more - how does our environment influence us? It is pretty interesting!

Very true, this whole story of the saint who is poor, of course it exists but for the 'normal' member of the society it is really not true. If you are poor you try to fix everything yourself and what does it help to repair the roof yourself? Only that a tradie gets less jobs. If you have money you buy organic and save the environment a fair bit of poison and so on. You go to concerts and local musicians are paid. You can give to charity andso on.
I think actually the poor = good story is emphasized by the upper 1% ...but that is a very political story we won't go there.

I like how cleaning up per Feng Shui helped you so much. A good incentive for me to clean up for once too haha

What do you sell? And what would make your website great instead of just good?

It's about powerful positive affirmation and visualisation. I'm in the UK and watched the first of a series of programmes about the current US President. If one thing stands out it's his unwavering positivity. It led him to choose the right people to help achieve his various aims - those right people weren't always the kindest or most transparent but the job got done.

My interest is being a freelancer and having parents who were/are business people so any tips are always welcome! (Dad's "officially" retired now but he can't leave it alone!). Looking back it was positivity and determination that kept / keeps me going. Just keep affirming and using whatever tools you can. If Feng Shui is another brick in the wall, great.

Something perhaps I should look at it. (I have an interest in Shinto which embodies some of the same spirit.)
