Tree moves when I walk by it

Whenever I would leave for work in the morning I would walk about by my tree, the one planted for me on my birthday when I was born, and it's like the wind starts blowing but there is no wind. The leaves will rattle and branches will move and I will just stop and look at it and touch it and then be on my way. It is a Weeping Cherry Tree that has seen better days. There is a lot of dead growth on it and I have cut a lot off but will have to hire a tree guy to come out in the spring and get the rest and sort of nurse it back to health. Anyways, what do you guys think? Has this happened to you before? It's gotten to the point where I can count on it to move when I come outside now.

We have a 'Flax Plantation' We use our 'Flax' for weaving 'Piu Piu'(Garments).
When I first met Mums 'Flax' approx 20 years ago, I did not respect this 'Taonga'(Sacred and Practical to Maori. Flax clothed,Fed,provided utensils, medicine, camoflaged, provided rope etc etc etc for my people.) When I pruned the flax I got a bit rough and impatient. The flax reprimanded me by wacking me in the face. I wacked it back and I got a bigger dose of wacking in return. I couldn't walk through the Flax bushes without being tripped up or stung.
I apologised to our 'Toanga' and in return I was rewarded with its bounty.

well imagine that,

many years ago my two oldest children were walking behind me as i led the way down a sidewalk, a tree branch was hanging over the sidewalk, i did not see it coming cause i was looking back at my kids. then my son said to me, "mom that tree branch just lifted up for you so you could walk under it." i looked back and there was a low hanging branch. i was shocked.

VERY nice to read others who have had similar experiences. trees have been on this earth a long time, i can only imagine the wisdom they must hold.

I absolutely LOVED your story Gracey! It is just so odd how the whole tree would just shiver it's leaves and branches when I would walk by it. I would stop and hold the branches in my hand because it seriously felt like it was talking to me. I acknowledged it and it has been doing it like clockwork every morning. It's a really good feeling. Also, my ex wanted to cut it down with a chainsaw and I got so ****ed off that we were actually outside arguing about it and I told him that he wasn't to even touch the tree.

I also liked Neptunes story.

I really like hearing everyones stories about this. It's nice to know it's not only me that experiences this.

That's touching blackwolf. I really like your story, and definately believe it. In my opinion trees to have spirits, maybe this tree shares a connection with you and that's it's way of greeting you or acknowledging you  . Thanks for sharing :hug2: . Oh, you also just gave me the idea of doing the same (maybe not a big tree) for my child whenever I do decide to have one, thanks!

I think the tree is just saying hello.

I totally agree with iolite...especially since the tree was planted to celebrate your birth!

For me, Odd, I planted a 3 foot Austrian Pine same hight as my daughter and told her it was for her and that was years ago. however, she lives in Colorado.

That is so neat!
Theres a meadow behind our house that is really overgrown. My son wanted to explore it though so I was stepping down a path for him, and I couldn't help feeling a bit bad about all the plants I was crushing. Well, as we stood there looking out at a huge tree I felt a prick on the top of my hand (and I hadn't moved!). I looked down and I thorn branch was on my hand. When I took it off it sproinged up a bit, it really had to bend down to get me.

I later went out there and apologize to the plants there and felt them instantly forgive me. Since then I have been more careful and have not been pricked. We are at peace. I go back there and hug trees and send them love and gratitude. And they send it right back to me.
