How can I permanently stop being telepathic
 

I have been what people call telepathic for my entire life. I see now it was a gift among many; but this gift was meant for me. I am 20 years old now and since high school have tried to place my gift on the shelf and be a normal human being and I cannot.

It sounds like you have a natural ability rather than it being something you have developed yourself, so whilst it may be difficult to stop being telepathic perhaps you could learn to better control it. I can sympathise as someone who has been "blessed" with strong empathy which can make life interesting at times! I know it's impossible for me to simply stop being an empath so it's a case of learning to live with it and over time it does get easier to negotiate the emotional ups and downs.

There are such things as normal human beings? They must be a rare species, I haven't met one.

No ones ever normal. If fear wasnt part of the problem, maybe there would be no problem. Telepathy can be applied to more then just mind reading. If you didnt oppose it so much maybe it would be different, im just saying dont try to separate yourself with an ability because then the ability can even manifest as its own entity (the tiny part of you that wants to keep it) and then that can progress to mpd and all that and basically torment your entire life.

You can try to ground more in the physical reality, by being mindful when busy with normal, earthly and daily activities.

I dont understand that statement.

By being mindful and aware of the surrounding of oneself in the gross physical reality, one becomes less aware of the subtler thought-energy.
By doing this, one thus blocks the telepathic ability through grounding in the gross reality.

-sigh- the concept of grounding is literally like defecating on earth except instead of manure helping plants grow it just confuses everyone. Just my opinion. Dont mean to offend.

I accept that you see grounding that way.

Though the concept of grounding does help the one that does it but its very.. very temporary. its more like.. a side effect.
