What Dreams May Come

Has anyone seen the movie What Dreams May Come? Is that an accurate portrayal of what afterlife is like?

One of my personal favorite movies, basically because the colors are so vivid and it seems like that is what I think it would be for a while (except for the whole Hell part - but it's a movie, so lots of drama in there). I think the afterlife is what you believe it will be, so everyone's is different, and your relatives play along until you get up to speed with where you are, so it made a lot of sense to me.

If you liked that, you might like Defending your life with Meryl Streep. That was good.

Hi Hermes,
Nothing can be 100% accurate...and still it could be accurate for one person.

Because it is based on Anthony Borgia's books..."Life in the World Unseen"
And "More in the Life Unseen"....coming from his buddy on the Other Side
Father Benson...real guy from England, a gifted psychic Epis priest...that was
told this gift was 'of the devil'...

You will get a story from hospital bed, to the first hour on the Other
Side....to months later as he is shown around and learns so many things,
later settling into his "job/service" there, with his new friend Ruth.

His story was instrumental for me to realize I would never want what he had
or settled for in his particular "realm, level, sphere"...helped me focus more
on "what is to be focused on", I'll call it, for me.

Btw, no book was manufactured well, so the pages and binding fall apart first day.
Search for a pdf online , bec the copywrite has long expired.

Movies are for entertainment. Do your own research.

Good day, I've watched the movie not too long ago.

Some ideas are relatively accurate to what my own experience/understanding is, other ideas are a bit limited/one dimensional and some others are not represented, but that's okay, so it's appropriate for the what the movie is designed to do. Too much might information be misleading and confusing again. If we can get to become more loving and accepting of life that is the point and the movie has a way of doing that which I enjoyed while watching it.

In adition to that movie I would recommend watching Pleasantville. It's maybe not done with this intent, but it can give you in a relative way a perspective of how your spirit sees life (wanting to live, express itself, show itself in all colors etc.) and how the conditioned person sees it (being bound to a role and identity, not believing there is more than the reality everyone sees and agrees to, living unconsciously etc.). The universe unfolds with us, so this shows also how we create our world we live in based on our consciousness.

It is most significant for the noble attempt of the protagonist to attempt to save the soul of his beloved.

A beautiful film. Though I prefer 'The Lovely Bones'.

There is both variation and similarity.

Everyone's experience of the afterlife will reflect their own individuality and passions, though the broader framework is the same.
