Robinofthemoor receives special dispensation because he is such a fantastic
Brown-noser, great perceiver of character, an articulate complimentor...
and quoter of The Course.

Awww...the voices told me you'd say that:biggrin:

"What does loving someone mean? It means remembering their wholeness when they appear to be broken. It means remembering their beauty when they appear to be ugly. It means remembering their innocence when they appear to be guilty. To love someone is to appreciate someone for whom they really are, no matter who it is that they currently appear to be." Teal Scott, now known as Teal Swan

'When we’re always moving forward, we can’t be aware of what’s unconsciously being held on to. Because we’re thinking, and planning, and doing… Being somebody… Taking care of business… I’m always amazed what a relief it is to stop. Even in the midst of unbelievable demands and activity and responsibility, an ever-lengthening to-do list. The only way to let go is to bring into consciousness that which is unconscious. It’s very dirty work!' - Jon Bernie

'Usually we stop feeling by thinking. We separate from feeling by analyzing or compartmentalizing, by the ways we define things. The mental realm is very often mostly a defense mechanism. So of course in so many traditions, wisdom is basically equated with not knowing.' - JB

'If as a culture, as a species, we continue to dwell in a divided state of consciousness, no matter what we change on the outside, we will continue to manifest division. But each of us who comes into the natural, simple, undivided state is making a contribution to all beings - without trying, without taking any credit, without even knowing it. When you become undivided in your own consciousness, you become part of the manifestation of unity. You come to know that enlightenment is extraordinarily wonderful and profound, but also very simple.' - Adyashanti

Ah, I see. Nice idea, but probably best to start a separate thread.

'As long as there's drivenness, we cannot experience our true nature; our true nature is effortless, it's the nature of nature itself, an effortless, spontaneous flow. Whether we realise it or not, from infancy onwards we begin to acquire drivenness, compulsiveness, grabbiness - everybody does, and that covers over our true nature. And as long as that is covered over, then yes, life is going to be suffering.' - Shinzen Young

For what it's worth.....:) A source we might not have considered: Rodney King....."Why can't we all just get along?" Maybe the answer is easy as "PIE".......Pride, Ignorance, Ego.....:)

'Reality becomes conscious in anyone who has a moment of deep vulnerability - actually, reality is much more like a hunter, it's just looking for a moment of vulnerability. And the spiritual practices that people engage in, if and when they're done correctly, are ways of establishing a moment of vulnerability within you; often the spiritual practices are not done correctly and so they do not establish a moment of vulnerability, they simply teach the ego to be more in control of manipulating the inner experience to what's more suitable to the ego.' - Adyashanti

Emotions and even thoughts become depersonalized through awareness. Their impersonal nature is recognized. there is no longer a self in them. They are just human emotions, human thoughts. Your entire personal history, which is ultimately no more than a story, a bundle of thoughts and emotions, becomes of secondary importance and no longer occupies the forefront of your consciousness. It no longer forms the basis for your sense of identity. You are the light of Presence, the awareness that is prior to and deeper than any thoughts and emotions. -- Eckhart Tolle

You Don't Have To Go in Pursuit of Anything

Always come back to the place of being.
Just be in the being.
Rest in the being as being itself.
Avoid making premature conclusions
about what you’re experiencing.
All is a passing show—momentary.
Keep your mind and Self open and quiet.
Avoid locking yourself inside any room.
Stay in the open and panoramic expansiveness of Being.
Like this there will be ample love and peace and joy.
These will always flow.
You don’t have to go in pursuit of anything.

~ Mooji Baba

'Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either - but right through every human heart. This line shifts; inside us, it oscillates with the years. And even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained. And even in the best of all hearts, there remains... an unuprooted small corner of evil.' - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
