Flowers.
I believe in flowers. Look for flowers and notice flowers are wonderful... and there are so many. Give someone a flowers... or just one flower. Earth: LOLOLOLOLOLOL |
I was noticing how nice flowers are, earlier today.
|
Oh, yes. I agree, Gem. And beautiful photo.
I recall one particularly bitter cold eve last winter walking into a Rewe and finding myself surrounded by lush, perky tea roses in many colors. A by-product, no doubt, of nearer, warmer climes. But so nice to see their gentle reminders of warmth and the colors of Spring on such a terribly cold day. |

What I think is coolest about flowers and plants is the tremendous inherent energy and potential that is naturally stored in the seed that it grows from.
Magnificent design...........good job God! |
"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." - Anais Nin
|
Oh, I adore Anaïs Nin, Gem. A woman of constant insight.
Here’s my favorite poem by my favorite poet (and also happens to have a rose-theme, thus I‘ll stick it here): somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond by: E. E. Cummings somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near your slightest look easily will unclose me though i have closed myself as fingers, you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens (touching skilfully, mysteriously)her first rose or if your wish be to close me, i and my life will shut very beautifully ,suddenly, as when the heart of this flower imagines the snow carefully everywhere descending; nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals the power of your intense fragility:whose texture compels me with the color of its countries, rendering death and forever with each breathing (i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses) nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands |
May our heart's garden of awakening bloom with hundreds of flowers. ~Thich Nhat Hanh~ |
The individual petals and magnificent color of the wisteria blooms always makes me think of parts of the self which are seperate but at the same time part of the whole, yet at the very core is still the gold of God's universal light and the white light of all that is.

too me it says self sacrifice...blood of sacrifice which brings strength of character and strength of will. amazing a flower can pull so much from inside a person.. and some people say they dont see or feel anything in nature... baffles me |
Silvergirl))) those have always made me think of Brokenhearts and the brokenhearted.
but today I see an army of redheaded angels hanging by a thin strand of energetic earth cord |

Song of The Flower
I am a kind word uttered and repeated By the voice of Nature; I am a star fallen from the Blue tent upon the green carpet. I am the daughter of the elements With whom Winter conceived; To whom Spring gave birth; I was Reared in the lap of Summer and I Slept in the bed of Autumn. At dawn I unite with the breeze To announce the coming of light; At eventide I join the birds In bidding the light farewell. The plains are decorated with My beautiful colors, and the air Is scented with my fragrance. As I embrace Slumber the eyes of Night watch over me, and as I Awaken I stare at the sun, which is The only eye of the day. I drink dew for wine, and hearken to The voices of the birds, and dance To the rhythmic swaying of the grass. I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath; I am the memory of a moment of happiness; I am the last gift of the living to the dead; I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow. But I look up high to see only the light, And never look down to see my shadow. This is wisdom which man must learn. Kahlil Gibran |

Great thread which I've only just come across! I have a love of orchids...also love tulips. Xxx
P.S. Love that picture of the wysteria. |
In life, notice the flowers. Attune the eyes to beauty.
Every flower seen gives a reason to smile. Little glimmers of happiness. Gentle reminders of life's wonder. The blooming of nature's heart. Precious and gentle. Love's silent song. Perfume for the breeze. Nectar for birds and bees. Colour for the trees. Endlessly giving. And everywhere there are flowers. |
These make me glad!!! :D

you yourself are a flower of the earth

What beauty I see I sense ... is for me, and us ~sound~ |
I grow flowers in my garden because I want life to be beautiful. To see flowers is to know the world is beautiful...
I protect the flowers in my garden and take care of them, I put a small seed on the soil and give water to it. There is no way of forcing it, only care giving, and the growing of patience and love as daily I watch it grow... and when the time comes and the conditions are just right... only then in blooms in full colour.
