How often do you exercise

Well I don't actually 'work out' but I do try to 'move around' a lot during the
day and not just sit and watch TV or play on the computer. I'll also try to do a
few isometrics to help tone muscles. Probably not the best way to exercise but
at least I'm doing something.

Gracey 09-03-2012 05:33 PM

isometrics are awesome. i love them. they give you great strength and really help protect the bones. it is a clean cut look too.

Xan 09-03-2012 05:53 PM

I practice yoga and go for a walk every day, and I do energy practices that exercise my subtle bodies.

I just started doing light exercise roughly 5 days a week about 2 months ago. I usually ride an exercise bike for ~30 minutes, do some sit ups and pushups, and play some random Wii fit games. Nothing crazy, I'm just slowly trying to develop healthier habits so I can better stick to them.

knightofalbion 13-03-2012 10:25 AM

Long walks every day...

Fresh air and sunshine - marvellous health tonics!

Narcissus 13-03-2012 10:45 AM

I never can let days go without engaging in exercises. I want to keep both body and mind in balance and I do not want to prefer one over the other and respect the domains of both

krishna 13-03-2012 10:48 AM

Every single day including skipping.
In pure light and truth.
Krishna.

Crooks 15-03-2012 11:16 AM

On daily and regular basis.
Exercise and work outs must be done on regular and daily basis. If you will spend one hour on daily basis then nothing is gonna be wrong. So always keep this in mind that you have to do exercise on daily basis.

Elfay 15-03-2012 03:20 PM

I exercise every single day !! I have been using a stationary bike and a Health rider, I also use light weights and I just started a Yoga class ... Its helped me a lot mentally, physically as well as spiritually. I feel great, really great since I have been working out every day.

norseman 15-03-2012 09:02 PM

Four/five gym sessions every week - half hour exercise bike, half hour treadmill, various muscle/joint stretching and tensioning machines against 40 kilo weights.

mrs. res 16-03-2012 09:30 AM

ahhh...one of my favorite things!

I workout at least 5 days per week. I weight train 4 out of 5 with heavy weights and incorporate treadmill, exercise bike & various circuit style dvds. It keeps me sane and I've found such a passion for it that I've decided to study PT.

Henri77 27-03-2012 10:30 PM

twice daily
a 25 min workout-stretches and later 2-3 mile daily walk. pretty much every day.
who needs a gym? ..... but I certainly respect those who can & do use such facilities.

Tried to develop a maintenance workout I can do anywhere, requiring no equipment.

*Matt* 19-04-2012 11:39 AM

I live in SE London and where I live everything is walking distance. I also don't drive, so I am always quite active, plus I usually go the gym twice to three times a week too.

You can exercise in so many situations. If you have walked to the shops and have two heavy bags, while walking back home you can lift them!! **** I am being serious (as long no one is looking as they would think you look a bit of a sap!!)

I have Muay thai kickboxing tuesday, thursday and friday. I play 2 hours of badminton on mondays and wednesdays. And I also do strength training at home on mondays and wednesdays. And on either saturday or sunday I go up to the local pool, workout in the gym for 3 hours, then swim 20-50 laps, and hit the steam room and hottub. So I only have one day of rest in the entire week. I also don't drive a car, so I get around by bike or longboard or walking.

But lately I have been weaning off of meds and the withdrawals have been messing around with my health and blood pressure, so I have been missing a few workouts here and there, depending on if i have enough energy and strength.

sesheta 22-04-2012 11:16 PM

I try to get at least 15 to 20 minutes of exercise at least 5-6 days a week. Step machine, push-ups, ab exercises, and I have also always lived in houses with stairs, so I am constantly running up and down stairs every day, too! I have also always walked quickly (people joke and say I create a breeze when I go by, lol!)
I like exercising to create the endorphin rush - makes me feel better emotionally. Not to mention feel better physically - I find that if I miss a couple of days, I start getting really stiff and feel sluggish....

Solace733 23-04-2012 07:47 PM

I do the elliptical machine or dance 5 days a week for 30 minutes. I love to dance!

Shown 04-09-2012 06:03 AM

I like to do exercise daily in the morning and evening. I do workout 7 days of a week and spent my 30 minutes on exercise. I think workout is important for our physical and mental health so we should not skip it.

immortal coil 04-09-2012 08:09 PM

I heavy weight train 3-4 days a week plus I run when I'm trying to cut body fat.

Buzz 04-09-2012 09:07 PM

An hour of treadmill / abs / weights 4-5 times a week.

Aden 21-12-2012 04:17 AM

I give daily 30 to 45 min to my workout. And 4 to 5 days in a weak. Running and swimming are my favorite types of exercises. This practice makes me healthy and fit.

new_earth 29-12-2012 04:22 AM

I joined a gym almost 3 months ago. I go at least 3 times per week, I see a personal trainer once per month. I make use of the machines, do some tabata, use 5 lb. weights with movement, then 20 minutes on the elliptical. I was lazy for quite some time and not eating right, the gym was calling my name, along with a better diet. Just lost 20 lbs. :) I tell myself when I'm at the gym, I MUST do this, my spirit soul and mind are powerful and aligned and so must be my body! Feed the body, you feed the soul....we are really souls in a body.

Tobi 30-12-2012 01:33 AM

I walk. not as much as I used to when I had a dog (used to cover 6-10 miles a day every day for years) But I still go for my 2 walks a day. Out with the earth and grass under my feet -or rather, mud right now! haha.
I do not feel quite right unless I can go for my walks, outside in all weathers.
One good thing about this is it exercises the whole body, especially if there are hills to walk up and uneven ground to walk on. And if/when the sun shines, there's also a chance to top up some Vitamin D.

Ciqala 03-01-2013 03:01 AM

I am an athlete, and I try to make sure to remember to take rest days.

I run lots! Trails, pavement, wherever. I also love going mountain biking for hours in the woods and getting lost.
In good weather I usually longboard, but not in the winter.
I play lots of competitive professional badminton.
I do muay thai kickboxing (the most intense martial art in the world)
I do plyometrics, I love jumps, stair running, ect
And I also hit the gym to do strength training, and enjoy lifting some heavier weights.
I also like HIIT training and swimming.
And I also hip hop and krump dance but not competitively, just for fun.
I do all of these things in a week, but try and schedule it so I have enough rest days to make my muscles stronger.

EyeaM 10-02-2013 01:51 PM

As much as I can :) I do exercices that involve my own bodyweight, go for a walk or jog into the forest. I am planing to do yoga aswell, but thats all for now that I do; " plan" hehe.

Ohh and I really do love just pure body movment in a nature without any purpose or style/way so to speak, like an animal you know ;).

AstralJosh 10-02-2013 06:10 PM

Gym 3x a week, Training 2x a week and a bunch of Yoga :)

sunshineofthesoul 15-02-2013 07:04 AM

For the last 40 days I've been riding an exercise bike my cousin and I bought back in January. Ive been riding it everyday for an hour.

Courtney 17-02-2013 11:53 AM

Every single day! Sometimes I will skip a day here and there, but usually 6-7 days a week for an hour.

Adler99 18-02-2013 03:53 PM

Godwin - Moving around a lot during the day can burn calories. I don't move around a lot during the day, but exercise 6 evenings a week. I elliptical, lift upper body weights, do leg presses then sit ups. Every Friday night I take a break from exercising.

I brisk walk minimum 3 days a week. Good exercise. Gets the blood flowing. Want to walk further than before.

Sonia84 19-03-2013 09:46 AM

5 days a week, and alternates between running and pumping iron at the gym. For workouts, it's recommended that you work only one part of your body per day, and rest adequately before you start another routine. Ohh...if you're talking about cutting fats and losing weight, working out with weights and a controlled diet work wonders!

LadyTerra 09-04-2013 08:55 PM

Greetings Everyone:

I ride my bike every afternoon (after work) and do yard work on the weekends.

norseman 11-04-2013 08:34 AM

I started going to the gym two years ago - the reason being I had to go onto Insulin by injection and I put on 8kg weight in two months. I did general exercise 3/4 days per week and ultimate weight loss = zero. So, I has cancelled my membership.
Diabetes Consultant rates my blood sugar control as excellent and my diet as very good but admits that Insulin can lead to weight gain. He is proposing a change of Insulin regime so we will see. For the time being, I am walking the stairs to my apartment rather than using the lift [8th floor !]. This is in addition to strolling the moors and dales every chance I get. :D

Sarian 12-04-2013 12:49 PM

I go for a brisk walk/jog/run every chance I get, but at least 3 to 4 times a week, but I need to do more. I lost 30 pounds in a few months last summer, but when winter came on, I didn't do much getting out running and then had surgery so I put half of that back on, blast it.... now I'm busting my butt to get that off and then some, but for whatever reason, it's not coming off as fast this time. grrrrrrrr.

Because I'm a trucker I feel exercise is extra important. I drive up to 11 hours a day. Not much moving around. Often I may drive 7 or so straight thru.

So I run for 20 minutes one to two times a week. Afterwards I do three sprints or so. Every other day to every day I do push ups and jump rope. I also do what may be called up downs. Its a combination of being upright. Then down to do a pushup. And back upright in a jump. Its an exercise I learned in bootcamp. Its great cause it hits every muscle group for the most part. Especialy the stomach wich I feel is important.

I also try to walk somewhere at the end of the day after I park.

Another thing I do is breathing exercises. I do them about every other day. It helps keep my lungs and stomach in good shape.

I feel exercise is very important. Especialy for people like me. Driving a truck for long periods of time and plus I smoke. But since I have kept exercising in my life I feel to be in great shape. I would be doomed if I didn't keep it up I feel in my case.

I have always loved exercise and feel it helps in so many ways. Including meditation.

Do you mean that you run 20 miles at a time? That is incredible.

Yeah that would be! But no. I run for 20 minutes.

I exercise whenever!! Usually I enjoy just walking or jogging around the neighborhood!! Nothing beats swinging on the swing set though! :'D

SpiritMachine 31-05-2013 08:55 PM

I have to workout one to two times for my job every week.
When graduate school isn't beating me up, I try to exercise on my own more than six times a week. Lately it has been about four.
