There is no downside in substituting them immediately as we are aware of them, and in time this becomes the new, better "normal".

Yes! And the exciting thing is research has been done on this - by Drs. Caroline Leaf and Candace Pert, RIP.
New pathways are made in the the actual BRAIN!

Compare to a wagon wheel going into the deeply grooved rut...the rut gets filled in or by-passed!! The wagon wheel treads on new road! That is the new normal! :icon_cheers:
New synapses are grown!
(I think that is how they put it...for the lay person...that's good enough of a description.)

Just for the record I STILL think there is something more than it seems to this. Yes everyone doesn't like negativity and yes everyone tries to avoid negativity... personally though I'm learning stuff I find valuable when I can let it run its course without just running away from the experience...

But that is just me. Lol.

According to Esther Hicks and Abraham, it does.

I agree. And the best part is, once it's had it's say it's gone. And since you're not carrying it anymore you end up more positive. Lighter. Feels really good.

Most people that are screwed up, (like I was), and get helped, turn out to understand a LOT.
Like a doctor that has had multiple injuries really knows how to help others, ya know.
I hate going to health care people that have never had any pain! (Only book learning.)
A little rant...

That makes sense, you want the person helping you to have experienced suffering so they can relate. Most of the therapist I've met got into therapy because of the struggles they had to overcome and in turn wanted to help others. I would say I've never had therapy but my mom is a therapist, so I have had free therapy my whole life. She saved my life during my difficult years.

I learned about the thought forms becoming real. However, when it is tied to desiring a living person to come back into one's life. I literally believe the idea of the inner being of the other person needing to be cooperate with the idea of the outcome created by the thought form.

Focus on the positive and not the negative, negativity is unnecessary, harmful and unhealthy. Don't constantly go over negative experiences in your mind, it will chew you up and spit you out, break the cycle and revert to love/positivity.
