I am one of those 'odd balls' that love the heat. When it is 100 degrees or more, I love going outside and work all day long. I wish it was that simple. But it isn't. Almost 30 years ago, I fell from 3 stories 'down'. I got seriously hurt. I was told I would never walk right again. When I came to the desert, my life changed dramatically. |

Great advice. Just a few days ago, I saw a dietician for about 1/2 hour. About every 6 weeks, I have an appointment with her. Since seeing her, I generally cook the largest meal for the day from 'scratch'. I can cook food without any salt and no longer have craving for salt. |
Keep it up john you will get there

Now that you're off the potassium chloride, I would wager that your levels will go back to normal and that you won't have to go on a low potassium diet much longer unless you're dealing with other issues like kidney disease too. So be sure that you follow up with your doctor and get your potassium levels checked regularly. You don't want to end up in the hospital again with the opposite problem of too low potassium levels. Magnesium supplements like magnesium glycinate is good for hypertension. So is CoQ10. And you really cannot over do either. Both have built in symptoms as it were, when you take more than you can tolerate. Magnesium glycinate (as do all other magnesium supplements) tend to cause loose bowels if you take more than your body can absorb. And CoQ10 can make you feel jumpy if you take too much as its primary function is to provide energy to the mitochondria. And look into thiamine if you're dealing with any kind of kidney or heart disease. Thiamine is a water soluble vitamin that the body doesn't store and is good for the kidneys and heart. Talk to your doctor about these supplements. |

BTW, did the doctors deal with your aortic aneurysm? That's some scary stuff, man.
|
The new heart doctor claims I don't have an aortic aneurysm 'any more'. His test claim I don't and the old heart doctor's tests claim I do. Who do you believe?
Your other information was very timely. |
You really need to know for certain about your heart . Can you get another opinion ?
You were seriously seriously poorly in hospital. You did not remember being moved into intensive care. |

I'd get another opinion. And magnesium is another mineral you need to watch if you're having kidney issues, coq10 is good for the kidneys and liver too. |
Hey big John sorry to hear all the health troubles you’ve had. Just thought ide mention diet. Perhaps having a look at what you eat and drink might be helpful, if you haven’t already. The reason I say this is because my friend was diagnosed with non hogkinson lymphoma and was given 5 years to live. She’s been here eleven years now and all she did was change what she ate, drank, and got rid of all the cleaning and body lotions she used to use. She ate mostly organic food and checked all labels on every product she bought. If they had any preservative, or colours and flavours she didn’t buy them. On cleaning and body products one of the worsted culprits is Isopropyl or propylene, which is deadly.
If you are interested in going down this path with your diet, let me know and I will go into more detail regarding it. It isn’t difficult. Just thought it might be worth a try. |
