That reminded me of a similar (forgotten) happier experience.

Cycling along a disused railway track (greenery either side), whilst listening to Enya and having 2 potential men I was attracted to!

Oooh heck !!!
What you mean "one of em ?"..
How many you have ?....

Oh but the memories .

I remember spending my whole childhood days yearning for a horse.
Course I never got one ( cruel parents LOL )...

I DID however get a white bike one Christmas when I was about 12....
Yeah....
My 'white stallion' ......

For pities sake ( and so sad) I used to ride it up n down the street with my eyes closed , using the brake cables as 'reins' , bouncing up and down on the saddle , singing 'white horses' in my mind to my hearts content .....
Happy days.
Iust have looked like a right pillock...
Till the day I crashed into the kerb and went a**e over t*t and felt like a complete idiot ....

But I got my wish.
My husband surprised me a few years ago for my birthday with horse riding .
Oh it was so lovely .

You did indeed write how good your stepdad was to your mum and you, and that's lovely.
I appreciate that given that my boys were brought up by a stepdad who is also good to them.

But oh my goodness. These horses.
WOW...
Do you still have any ?
And which one was your favourite ?
I'm so jealous ...:hug2:

I loved them all,but perhaps my favorite was Belle as she gave me a foal (who i went to see with his new owner).
Alas he has passed now, along with all of them.I've seen riches to rags in my 62 years. It's been a rollercoaster ride.

When I meet my friend at McDonald's. Also, when I socialize at the senior center. But those at the senior center are acquaintances only---whereas the one at McDonald's is my friend. Both make me happiest.
